Why did she capsize ? wind and waves look ok ..

there was too much sail up for the wind conditions (going downwind I think), and a particuarly nasty gust hit them and knocked them over and unfortunately there was a fault in the mast which is why it broke when they capsized.

Rescued by the RNLI and still one of the best on the Wayfarer cruising scene. Recently been in the Lakes for a week.

I was only asking cause in the end you couldn't see the wayfarer being towed by the lifeboat.

I suppose that's because the hull blended in with the wash, and it had to be towed a fair way from the lifeboat as it was getting battered by the wash from it.

The boat capsized and the mast snapped at spreader level.

Excellent, the first 7 seconds captures they're alone, then the music perks up as they see the ship. Great stuff.
