just wondering, im moving up to somepioneers soon, but is it worth getting 800's or 1000's is there much difference besides price etc?

the 1000's are bigger and heavyer....you need a bigger fly case,and a bigger car to transport the whole console! of course 1000's are better,they have memory slots and recognize cd's you play(loop memory,cuts,cue...) but the price is almost the double...!!! hope i've been helpfull lolllll

go 1000's ive currently got two 1000mk3's and an 800mk2.... the difference is unbareable! no hot cues, no cd recognition, fair few little things ad up to make it sooooo worthwile to get 1000's, i hate my 800

Just get 800's dude, don't even waste your money....a true DJ doesn't need stupid hot cues or a waveform display...all you need is something that plays tracks!

i'm tryna record my demo through my DJX700 from rca cables into my mic input on my laptop. i cant get a decent sound??? anybody got any tips to help me out???

Only solution I see is to buy a new laptop or use an tabletop PC

Yes u can buy Audio interfaces, i Have a basic one from Edirol which is a very good company and connects thru USB... there are more expensive ones with firewire and cheaper ones but the Edirol is ideal quality for the price of 70 euros. Download Audacity free audio software and start recording :)

nice mix, how long u been mixing for? iv only been mixing for 1 day:P i cant seem to grasp using the que button on mine to get beatmatching in time do u use the "scratch" thing to find the beat?

I've been mixing for about 2 years,and it's not the scratch,it's the vinyl function on my cdj800. With this function you can stop the cd by pushing on it,and it's better than a real vinyl!you can also use the cue,it's almost the same
