  • Not 600 pounds but great lift

  • well, I'm not a professional bodybuilder, I'm not using steroids, so of course I don't have sholders like him and I don't want to look like him (he's an ugly mother f*). everybody's saying all the time USE GOOD TEHNIQUE AND FULL RANGE OF MOTION. This is partial movement, no full range of motion. Maybe if he would do full range of motion he woulde have even better shoulders. This is ego workout. of course everywone would lift more if they use partial movement. don't you agree?

  • @MrLimaify

Pro body builders do what they have to to get to their size, whether its partial range of movement or unorthodox technique, they use it because they need to. Partial range movements and machines have their place in training for those that need it. Also the extra ROM puts the shoulder into a risky position when he has shoulder joint problems.

  • @MrLimaify hes not going all the way down as he doesnt want to wreck his shoulders and stopping where he does at the bottom maintanes the stress on the shoulders and he going up just far enough to work the shoulders -no need to go all the way up !!when pushing insane weights u have to be careful or ull get injured that why he uses smith machine as lifting this shit not on the smith machine is impossible !!

  • there is no full range of motion

  • @MrLimaify what are you saying?

Are you saying his muscle growth is hindered by it? if so look at his shoulders and compare them to yours.

  • Meine Eltern denken immer ich guck nen Porno xD

  • his elbow is the size of her head

  • how heavy was that?

  • @jow031 like 600 pounds

  • @ElvisFerbeyre wtf.. damn..

  • @jow031 wtf..damn..? YES, 600 pounds, he proved to have the strongest shoulders ever.

  • @ElvisFerbeyre the strongest shoulders are definetely not training with a machine...

  • @ironpassion okay so tell me who can do that with a machine.

  • @ElvisFerbeyre as i said before, the strongest shoulders won´t work out on a machine. someone doing a behind the neck jerk with 600lbs would be much stronger...or look at videos of alexeev, hepburn, redding koklyaev, savickas or else....these man are training for strength, not for outer appearance, and because of this they are not using machines! it´s like comparing a leg press to a heavy squat...

  • @ironpassion dude, you still don't understand it, you say he doesn't have the strongest shoulders in the world because he does 600 pounds in the machine, okay, so tell me who can do the same weight behind the neck in the machine or maybe free, who??? go and figure out retard.

  • @ElvisFerbeyre you call me a retard? you are obviously unable to discuss something on a rational basis, so i wont try to explain it any further....

  • @ironpassion You called me jerk though. I shouldn't have explained that to you any further either.

  • @ElvisFerbeyre i called you a jerk??? i talked about a behind the neck jerk, this is a weightlifting exercise you don´t seem to know...

  • @ironpassion wow, forgive my ignorance, didn't know there was an exercise called like that, anyways going back to the point, tell me who can do that in the machine??

  • @ElvisFerbeyre you said he proved to have the strongest shoulders ever!i will say it the last time, the strongest shoulders are not measured by machine training. even if he has the strongest shoulder machine press he doesnt own the strongest shoulders.a bodybuilder can use machines because he gets rated by outer appearance, someone training for strength trains with free weights like a strongman, weightlifter or powerlifter, these people have the strongest shoulders.period.

  • @ironpassion never seen any of those strongman shoulder pressing 600 pounds, not even with a machine, Markus uses the machine because he had a shoulder injury so he can't lift free weights.

  • he looks like grumpy from snow white

  • is everyone forgetting kevin levrone, behine the neck press 405lbs? ruhl is fuckin strong as well, but you can tell his uper chest is workin in this, and 405 behin the neck as deep as you can go is surely more of a show of shoulder strength?

  • @spam2094 agreed

  • Dude's a beast! just don't like all the pressing in a smith machine

  • @ListonFrazier im sure he knows what hes doing

  • its a smith machine you niggaz real weight lifted is only 60%

  • he can lift 2 kai greenes with his shoulders fuckin helll

  • anybody know if using a super wide grip like that on shoulder presses make your shoulders wider? or is it just cause he has massive shoulders and cant go any closer? lol

  • you see he doesnt go all the way down and thats the way to do it!

  • @leviterande his shoulders are the size of your head. i dont think he cares about your opinion

  • @kiomn WTF r you smokin, did ya even read what I said? I saluted his ass not bashed him for god sake ahahahaha

  • @leviterande ohh hahaha sorry. afghan kush

  • @leviterande so you're saying if you had that amount of weight on your shoulder you would go all the way down?...put up a video and prove it.

  • @burd1234 wow your missin da point man, flip ya opinion and ya r right

  • @burd1234 but wouldnt it be more evective to take half the weight and go all the way down?

  • Here we go with everyone saying this isn't a shoulder press, or it's not actually 600 pounds... Look at your shoulders, then look at his? Kay bye.

  • blue plates are 20 kilos. yellow plates are 15 kilos. thus making the total 210 kg or 462 lbs. Everyone who thinks this is a 600lb shoulder press is wrong. Impressive none the less. BTW I'm American and I know this. smh

  • @iplayit4jesus

the blues are 25-30 kilos and the yellows are 20

  • @Vrgs123 You're wrong.

  • @Vrgs123 Wrong, very wrong. blue = 20 and yellow = 15

  • @Vrgs123

pause the video at 0:37 and tell me what you see

  • @iplayit4jesus You forgot the bar of 20kg. But its hard to put an exact weight to it because of the difference in resistance of smith machines. But one thing is for sure, its a lot of weight hahaha.

  • I have never seen this video before now. and at 2:40 I said out loud to myself "Holy fuck.........*pause*...........are you for real" ... what this 'pause' was, could easily be described as my sudden realisation that yes this IS real and holy fuck thats insane!!

  • bein manchetten am arm ^^

  • its not semi incline semi shoulder the mild incline puts all the stress on your delts this is actualy proper form and is why his shoulders are so massive. Way to go hero your not going to hate on one of the biggest body builders of all time he obviously knows what hes doing, do this work out and maybe youll grow

  • semi incline semi shoulder....really

  • i wonder if this guy can wipe his own ass.He must carry an extra spotter for crapping.

  • Ruhl is the reason why most competitive bodybuilders fell small on stage. It's mind-boggling cause Ruhl isn't there to compete with you, he's there for the attention, and to let you know, year after year, I'm still bigger than you. LOL, you can't compare that to striations or abs. What's worse, is that he isn't naturally big, so you can't dismiss him as a fat ass. He worked hard to get where he's at.

  • Imagine if Ronnie had Ruhl's shoulders..... lolllllll......

  • not offence but din he used synthol for shoulder? or that mass is natural?

  • @melonmerong Well it's all muscle mass, but natural.... not soo much. haha

  • Warms up with what I wish was my max lol.

  • Is there a reason he bounces his bar off his face?

  • Only if Hitler was that big.....

  • @chiggenyummy hahahaha xD gewd one

  • what's the one band on the arm for? I've seen branch do this as well, Is is for equaling out the strength in an arm that's stronger then the other?

  • @shwan152 no most likely he is having a elbow pain. right now i am wearing one as well lol

  • @shwan152 it's for his elbow, it must hurt when he presses heavy, branch wears it cause he tore his tricep

  • Well duh, steriods do what steriods do(and that's nothing good overall for any one).

  • @13andincrediblycut nothing good overall for anyone ? how about steroids for cancer patients ? honestly ppl stating opinions online all the while having no knowledge on the subject is the widest trend on the widest web

  • She's only there to put her pussy on his head for inspiration. She's not gonna grab nothing, commonnn

  • @Novinte She's his WIFE!

  • it more of a incline press and those are 1/4 reps, lets see what happens when he touches his chest.

  • @pitbull61616 those are more than 1/4 reps. more like 1/2 reps. and he does have a high incline going but it is still high enough that it is primarily working his shoulders.

  • Were in agreement bob47759

  • Were in agreement bob40779

  • i don't care for some bad comments, he is fucking strong

  • @bob47759 Well duh, it's called steriods, superhuman growth.

  • An incline bench press should be at the max 40 degrees in height. It's ok I've seen seasoned weightlifters that make the same mistake. He has the bench less than complete upright, because at complete upright the stress goes from the shoulders to the spine, because nobody has completely perfect upright posture, there is no point in having the bench at max height for any kind of shoulder press as you would then automatically start to arch your back when shoulder pressing. So if you have the bench

  • @brendan6022 the bench is fine and he has good form

  • thats pretty much an incline press, not a shoulder press...

  • the blue and black are 20 kg and the yellow are 15 kg, so total its 230 kg :))

  • WHat a Monstah!!!

  • unbelievable

  • supimsatan: Wonder who the noob is here... If you dont know that Ruhl is one of the biggest guys around..then read up. He is not the BEST bodybuilder, wich is a big difference, but he is definitly one of the biggest ...

  • @torparnorpan your the noob

  • he's not that huge, i've seen bigger bodybuilders, over-rated video/comments.

    Noobs..

  • are those 45 plates

  • the guys doing shoulder presses with weight most other pro bodybuilders can't bench. Ronnie is badass, but I would def give the strongest shoulders to Markus

  • I'm like, is that 405 x 19, wow...so then it gets to the end, and I'm like...did I miscount, or did he just do 585 x 6? O.O

  • he could break his nose..... awesome

  • Comment removed

  • haha 405 for reps. fukin silly!!!! im 1 rep maxing at 225 and this guy is using it as warm up weight. FUCK YA

  • he done fucking 19 reps on the second to last set.. serious guy.

  • his wife is pretty yoked too

  • funny how the weight bar touches his nose

  • sorry but rühl got the strongest shoulders in bodybuilding not ronnie

  • he got the biggest shoulders in historie of bodybuilding

  • @jesterhead2288 Levrone had damn strong shoulders too..doing btn presses with 4 45lb plates.

  • @jesterhead2288 id go with levrone, he use to do less weight but he did them behind his headd which are way harder.

  • @jesterhead2288

    both!!

  • @jesterhead2288 I agree... Ronnie never went that heavy on shoulders. Saw him do 275 seated military press with a bar, and mid 100s on seated db press.

  • still not stronger than ronnie. ronnie coleman does 4 plates free weight.

  • he isnt going very deep. i'm not bashing him just saying

  • 600lbs shoulder press, hes listed as having the strongest shoulders ever.

  • @speedfreak18ish WRONG. the strongest shoulders ever belong to glenn ross

  • @milnusthegnome i think u'll find its zydrunas savickas

  • @leftyfliphero wrong. glenn ross holds a record for 195 kilogram shoulder press

  • @milnusthegnome zydrunas savickas broke 200 with a log press at the 2010 worlds strongest man

  • @leftyfliphero

If Ruhl trained for strongman he would beat that. He trains for bodybuilding not powerlifting.

  • @696969Brian696969 that right dude, as you can see he is doing 5 reps 600lbs RAW! looks unreal to me so much weight on shoulders,

  • wtf that cant be 6 plates i mean id be in shock at 5 plates he is not human he is just not normal

  • His Power is as good Strongmen .

  • dont remebeer where but i saw a vid of him military pressing 765

  • @shamwowftl lol, the world record bench press is 715. 785, military press? I dont think so!!!

  • @HEYIMATANK well then it i must of accidently counted an extra plate or something :P

  • @shamwowftl yea he trains in germany and their weight system is different. Like there 20 lbs plates that look like our 45 lbs.

  • @HEYIMATANK he stilled did shoulder press 585x6 though right?

  • @HEYIMATANK I'm pretty sure they're actually 20kg plates, which are a little over 44 pounds.

  • @HEYIMATANK no where else in the world uses lbs plates. only kilos. so if u meant 20 kilograms that'd make more sense, not 20 lbs.

  • @HEYIMATANK did you say the world record bench press was 715? i hope thats raw...

  • @shamwowftl yea 715 - raw. and somin like 1015- bench shirt

  • @HEYIMATANK

In europe we use kilograms for reference on weights.

    Red = 25kg Blue = 20kg Yellow = 15kg Black = 10kg

and the world record benchpress isn't 715, a guy in my gym does reps with 700 without shirt, so screw that.

  • @robe23k i doubt that, its not like hes following the pause rule and proper technique for it to b a bench press

  • @HEYIMATANK

Who follows the pause rule when training?

Not even powerlifters does pauses between reps when doing reps.

and actually he got pretty god technique.

  • is to protec is back(lombar)!

    :D

    Ronnie is geting old!

markus and jay are in command_!

    *_*

  • what is that belt that all body builder wear when training....

  • to protect your lower back and kidneys :)

  • This freak got more muscle that Ronnie !.

  • he is the strongest body builder alive... search about it....

  • @FallenDespair nope it is johnie jackson or franco columbu or ronnie coleman. he only does heavy shoulders

  • yeah markus is ultra insanely strong he just needs to equalize his tris with his bis and up his calves then he would place higher in competition

  • holy shit get me some steriods. I want that strength.

  • I don't think he is healthy.

  • If you look at his shoulders, then you realize that it is possible for him to move 540 lbs in a military press.

  • he made dat shit look easy

  • omg 6 plates...

  • dude, seriously. holy SHAT

  • They're not all 45 lb plates. Different colored plates weigh differently. but still, it's a lot of weight.

  • ah haters plz stfu u can bitch all you want but the facts will always remain the same. No one else on this planet can do what Markus ruhl does with his shoulders

  • christs sake i hope ur right

i barely do 2 plates 25 in the smith i felt weak when i saw that

  • he is knwon to have the best shoulders in the world

so stop whining over 'real' weight, cuz its real

  • omG Markus is a Beast but a nice person aswell I meet him in Limerick this year I was talking to him he is very nice ;)

  • It is real weight, and Markus is the king!

  • Bro,I don't give a fuck what anyone says,if thats real weight, off season or not that is out of this world!!(3:13)

  • wow . 230kg x 6 reps

  • ...

  • in top 5 for freakiest chest/shoulders/biceps

  • sharpz basically just bench to ur chest anything else u dont have 2 "touch ur chest"

  • ...

  • wow amazings shouldnt he bring it tot he chest tho thats what i was told :s

  • No. IMO, in order to get the best results in this sport, you must identify the range of movement in which the target muscle is at peak efficiency and only workout within this range at full intensity. Going beyond this range requires that you either subject yourself to injury or reduce the weight and therefore reduce results. Proper form is essential but range is too. With this in mind, squatting, bench pressing and many other exercises may become very different. What do you guys think?

  • thanks for that i,ll keep that in mind!

  • 100% correct

  • in your opinion...

  • id hit that

  • yea me too...

  • Best shoulders ever in the history of humanity, they look awesome and they are the strongest in human history which isnt bad considering marcus has never done powerlifting and trains purley for size and not strength which i think is crazy!!!!

  • that was still 105 either that smith, but that smith looks shit, bar probably is caliberated so its effortless to move and no resistance...but it only moves in a straightline...so thats a disadvantage to me anyway lol probably not necessarily to rhule, but thats why he needs that spot becos the bar is always gona stick if you cant push it up straight! but reps of that mount of weight for anyone is impressive. but he wont be at WSM any time soon!

  • nah pretty sure the tracks are greased you fuckin idiot

  • watching him to 5 wheels blew me away. that is pure power. i don't think ron coleman could do that, but i might be wrong.

  • 280 kg he has pressed before for 5 reps

  • 3:22 sounds like his shoulder snapped

  • wat a skinny runt

  • no roids no gain

  • dude go fuck ur self, markus would clearly rip u in half
