For my Garmin Rino 120, when I click "Nearest" on the waypoint menu pop-up, not all the cache waypoints on my GPS come up on that screen sometimes. (The ones farther away do not appear at all.)
A fix to this problem is to select "By Name" on the waypoint menu pop-up instead of "Nearest." This will bring up all the geocache waypoints and you will do the same process illustrated above, by "Delete All" or "Delete by Symbol>Geocache."
Hi there. Thanks for the video. I have managed to get multiple caches onto my Garmin Etex h using EasyGPS. Only problem I have is it transfer by geocache name but I would prefer by Geocache ID as this makes it easier to find in my Ipod/Geocache Application.
Is there any way to change the way it transfers to Geocahce ID.
Great videos. It's nice that I can watch them for refresher lessons.
Questions: In this lesson, would I want to save in a file at easygps.com all the waypoints in my home area, and then have a different file for those in different places I travel to?
HELP, haha I have the easygps program and have been downloading every thing to my venture...thanks for the help, my question is am I able to have the hints for each file downloaded to my venture and if so how do I do this ?
@chadfarley Hmmmm, I don't think that the Etrex family can take in that information. I use GSAK to load into like the Garmin 60CSx and such but I think (I can be wrong) that the Etrex GPS units only can take in the waypoints and thats about it. -HHH
I love your video's....as soon as the snow melts here in MN im gonna take up geocaching...I need a fun new hobby, your videos are very helpful...one thing I was wondering is I seen you had that blackberry app, if I get that would I still need a handheld GPS or does the blackberry app do it all?
@kdog107 I use the bb app all the time but you have to remember you are taking an expensive phone out into the weather and it is not as durable as a GPSr. I usually take both. There are times where the phone won't make a connection and then you are stuck. Great question! -HHH
im wanting to travel in Japan, and i will be using there local maps, and hopefully a Garmin Etrex.
now do you know do they work on a different system than us? the maps ect... and do all of these hand held devices work work worldwide. + the software ill be needing is that world wide too. i would appreciate any information you could spare or advice.
Hmmm, maps from other countries are not my best subject but I think you may have issues with getting maps for Japan for your Etrex. I highly recommend you contact Garmin directly and their support people might be able to get you the the right maps for Japan. -HHH
Which etrex would be best for under $150?

A tip for deleting geocaches off of your GPS:
