I bought beads in his lovely wife's store. (I can't remember her name "Bai-?") They had an adorable little boy, too. He gave us amazing clay lamp shades. I chose the snakes, just like the ones shown at .23. I had to leave them behind when I left Taiwan for a family emergency ;(. At the time he taught children of the village how to create art & told us he was fascinated w/Native Americans. Amazing person. I will NEVER forget his & his family's kindness, generosity, and beauty.

I met him Nov. 1991.Friends & I were riding into the mountains & a guard stopped us.He was suspicious but relented.Then 1 of our mopeds broke down!Along came Sakuliu!He told the guard we were w/him & loaded the moped into his Jeep.We spent the night w/him & his family & went to a wedding! His grandmother cooked fei shu for us. (to be continued)
