@runboy398 Thanks for your post, and glad all you guys like the carrier landings. Yes, there is an arrestor cable on the carrier. When you play the video to counter number 35, you can see the cable stretched across the deck, and weights attached to the each end dangling down the side of the carrier. The weights help to cushion the shock created when trapping the plane. You will notice that there were two arrestor cables on the carrier before I added the catapult.
Yes, the carrier has a catapult mounted on the starboard side. There is a shuttle inside a groove in the catapult track that is trapped in place with a pin connected to a servo which is controlled by the pilot. The shuttle has a string attached that runs forward and over the front of the deck and links up with a bungee strap for propulsion under the carrier. You can see movement of the bungee strap when the pilot releases the pin on the shuttle for launch at 3;08 minutes on the counter.
The plane is a GWS Slow Stick that can be found at hobby shops that carry GWS products. The Slow Stick sells for about $35 US dollars. Do a google search for allerc they carry GWS planes.
leewaffe3, thanks for your comment. The aircraft carrier deck is 3 feet wide by 8 feet long. I use a Traxxas E Maxx truck to tow the carrier around. It's always a big hit at our fly-ins.
That was even better then the last one! The sound of the jet flying through the hanger sounded like an orchastra. BTW How big was the flatop in size, with the Rc cars underneath?
If you watch closely there are two arrestor cables that run across the carrier deck and hang down from the sides with weights attached to the ends. The weights stop the plane and reduce the shock of the plane when its arrestor hook catches the cable.
They should have like very shallow pools with like land parts and then they could have rc boats rc carriers rc tanks and they could have full mass rc combat
lol, this is actually so cool

Noobkille301 1 year ago
but in real life the carriers don't move

need a rc ship that's that wide. Massive engines would be required.

Wow. The landing in 1:22 was my favorite because it was good and smooth!

Does that carrier have a catapult on it also? Or is that foamy jet just taking off after some speed? Excellent video, great idea.

do those have arrester hooks and a cable?

That would be cool. Full RC war from the sky, land and sea.
