Why dind't this phone come with a video conference App,like Skype or MSN, We have the technology. They shold put the camera in front and back, like in japan. There have been a number of "video" mobile phones but none of them caught on. If you do a video call you have to do it on bluetooth, headphone or speakerphone. Maybe a video application can be downloaded or added later in the app store but it seems there is a small demographic for that function.

Cute. Poorly named product, the iPad. What the heck were they thinking. Apple will always make the superior product but until they dump their relationship with AT&T, I'm not buying anything else of theirs. I now have 1 iPhone that I got out of the contract early, and 2 working iPods. AT&T sucks. This phone is growing on me every day and I'm sticking with it.

ya i agree, fuck ATT. I have verizon wireless. The onyl thing ATT can do good on is their internet service that we have in our house. I have never lost a single call on a verizon phone from bad signal. So they maintain bragging rights.

Beware, this feature doesn't actually work. On my Nexus One I say "When will you be home" and it displays "9 I soon you." My english is fine, and I'm in a silent environment. I've tried using this feature 10+ times and only had it work once. If you're considering buying this phone based on this feature, just be alerted that it does not work.

The only people who really care about this phone being an iPhone killer are iPhone owners. Anyone else can see this phone being superior in every way, except 80000 less useless apps.

Well the problem is that most people will not throw out iphones to go buy this. Apple never releases a product that is not the best in its field. So as an iphone user I'm just going to wait for the new iphone this summer. Is the Nexus one better than iphone? Yes, so is the droid. but the next iphone will blow them to hell.

True, but in US, you have to have AT&T and they suck. I'm tired of that. So I switched. My iPhone still works, even if only on WiFi and not as a phone. I can still use the apps.

well after the release of this damned ipad i might just be a droid user by 2011, I think this ipad is a bad omen that iphone OS 4.0 will not be what it would need to be to be better than the droid. But still, I will wait, I cant even think about switching until July anyway when my AT & T contract is up.

My AT&T contract wasn't up until August and it only cost me $90 bucks to get out of it. I like my Droid so much better than paying AT&T. That service sucks. Go for it! This is a great OS.

what these iphone kilers dont understand is that its not just the iphone. Apple has established a following. Apple claimed customers are not going to switch to the next best thing (such as this) they will wait patiently for apple to do it better.

I got the phone... It works pretty well. Its only weakness is the app store sucks. I have both the iPhone 3GS and the Nexus One, gadget geek, it's definately a great phone but I wouldn't call it an iPhone killer.. yet.

@cezarasouza The iPhone will probably getting this feature in the next update. You can also use the dragon dictation dictation for texting. The voice recognition seems to be poorly implemented on the Android OS anyway. Notice how the software doesn't even know to capitalize "i"s, or capitalize the first word of a new sentence. I say you keep your iPhone and wait a month, since it may be getting this feature. If not, I would keep an iPhone anyway, but that's your decision.

The biggest problem with Android is that there is a huge amount of firmware incompatibility as you move from platform to platform. I don't even think you can run ECLAIR on G1 for example. Meanwhile iPhoneOS will run on every single iPhone and ipod touch equally.

I like the Nexus 1, but they need a "trademark" music player (itunes/ zune, etc) and they need a trademark music store that grows like ITUNES and APP STORE.

Eclair, Hero, etc, can all be ran on the g1. With some minimal problems yes, but its not completely impossible. You do know this, yes? Also, you also do know, that whats the point of having a trademark anything, when you can simply hook it up to the computer and drag your favorite songs to the "Music" folder, and you're done?
