The government inJamaica need to free up some of the lands n encorage the people to farm and feed the nation n not just depend on imports from these other countries, but they dont care about the people for they know they will make enough money then leave the country when thier term is up.

Homosexuality is white thing not African, they now imposing this filthy culture on Africans. if homosexuality was practice in Africa and missionaries introduction of Christianity changed these attitudes, then why it is practiced more now among those missionaries now?

@dramese what do you know about homosexuality? Do you know that not all gays are sexually active, or that the same proportions of gay couples and heterosexual couples engage in anal sex ( roughly 2/3), so it is not a distinctly "gay" thing- so why exactly do you object?. And as to not being an African thing,google the azande tribe for starters. The bigger question is Why you are so concerned about what has nothing to do with you than you r about the bigger devils of war and poverty?

Interestingly, homosexuality was tolerated and practiced in pre-colonial africa, it was the introduction of christianity and homophobic european ideas, that changed african attitudes. Google " african myths about homosexuality+ the guardian"

@1adadada I agree that homosexuality existed there back in the day.However it was practiced on an individual basis and not en masse like it is 2day in America.It is wrong,but my problem with it is when it is practiced en masse. Eveybody wants 2 be gay now.

@kdolo100 hmm not actually true, the levels remain around 10 percent same as it has always been. I think people feel less inhibited about being honest about who they really are. As to right or wrong, The creator sure had a sense of humour because some of the nicest and most compassionate, joy filled people I have ever met happened tohave been gay.

@kdolo100 For me it has nothing to do with the media, I take people on an indivdual basis, I refuse to condemn a whole group of people I have never met. Africans are the biggest hypocrites I have ever met, they condemn homosexuals but do nothing about the horrendous levels of domestic violence, child sexual abuse, adultery that goes on in their communities. The biggest transmitters of HIV in south africa are heterosexual black men, the result is 2 million plus aids orphans

@1adadada ... if you want to get your knickers in a twist about soemthing, then for the love of God do soemthing about that, and mind your business about soemthing that doesn't concern you and is between 2 consenting adults, who are not asking you or anybody else to join in. @1adadada All of Africa's problems came from outsiders.It is their responsibility now to deal with those issues u mentioned. Anything that goes against the natural laws of the universe is wrong.Many of us have children and dont want them around such immoral filth. What 2 consenting adults do behind close doors is their biz.If they bring it outside,they can have harm brought to them.A human being is seperated from the rest of the animal kingdom by one important factor,self-control,values,mor­als.

@1adadada Ha! Can 2 men have a baby? no. Humans were made 2 procreate not stick it in whatever or whoever. Homosexuality is not new as you and i both know. We as blacks just knew better that that is not serving a purpose to better civilization.Perfection is an illusion adadada. @kdolo100 why so ignorant, anal sex is not exclusively a gay practice, studies show repeatedly that EQUAL numbers of heteros and homo sexual couples ( 2/3) engage in this practice. So it cannot be anal sex that you are objecting to, which begs the question what are you so obsessed with what others are doing or not doing ? Also 2 men cannot have a baby, so what? is a relationship only about sex? is it not also about , compatibility, connection, shared values, love?

@1adadada I didn't say anything about anal sex. In a nutshell,life ain't about what u feel like doing,it's about what ur supposed 2 be doing. In some cases what u have 2 do. A relationship is all those things u mentioned.U fail 2 realize that that is all designed 2 lead to procreation.Let's stop screwing up nature than it already is. Right always prevail.

@kdolo100 so why dont what you do what you are "supposed" to do, and let others do what they "feel" like doing, why should it be any concern of yours? Relationships are not about procreation, many choose celibacy, or to not have kids at all,or not to have kids with the person they are currently with, or adopt and foster other's kids. Many heteros reproduce and have no input with their kids, and many have kids and then go on to abuse, neglect and harm them.

@1adadada where do you get these ridiculous rules from? and what gives you the right to impose your ideas on other people?. Who are you to dictate how others should live their lives?. if you don't like homosexuality, fine keep it moving that's your prerogative, but really what gives you the right to judge anybody? it's between them and their concept of God, it is none of your business at the end of the day, so yet again I ask why are you soooo concerned?

@malarki5 Because they know that while africans are distracted and squabbling amongst themselves about pseudo-issues like homosexuality, they will ignore the fact that the neo-cons are re-stealing the african land and minerals beneath their feet. It is a distraction, and it is working. if Africans turned even 1% of the energy they expend in objecting to phantom ghosts like homophobia, and put it towards fighting HIV, poverty, war,etc, africa would be a transformed place
