I'm find this hypocrisy disgusting. My two sons, aged 3 and 5, have been abducted and are being held in Japan. The bombs were a godsend that saved thousands of US military lives and millions of more civilian lives all over Asia. The number of civilian casualty for both bombs were under 250,000. Let me know when you grow and brain and have a response to why it's ok to kill millions but not abduct 13 Japanese. Racist japanese who claim Comfort Women are common prostitutes and justify the millions of people killed and tortured deserve all the insults coming to them and more. The bombs were a godsend that saved thousands of US military lives and millions of more civilian lives all over Asia. The number of civilian casualty for both bombs were under 250,000. The total number of people abducted in Korea alone is 4.5 million. The millions more that were tortured and killed in Korea, China, South East Asian are incomparable.

In korea, there was no war. avg Joseon ppl accepted Japanese ppl.
and most koreans wished to go to Japan and they were also free to come back.
My great grandpa, in order to survive from hunger, did come to japan.
It is true that Japanese helped Korea in some ways... but I am not saying the colonization was right. To learn more about this, you need to know the country of Yang ban Bigots, Joseon. It was not much different from North Korea right now...

If the bombs were a tragedy and if these abductions of 13 are a tragedy, certainly murder and abductions of millions are that much more of a tragedy. What kind of deranged racist world do you live in that you can justify Japan's far greater atrocities and then expect others to sympathize over 13 abducted, majority of whom were returned??? Human depravity knows no bounds.

i think japan deserved the atomic bombs...
japanese, at that time, did think that they were superior over other asian nations. Nowadays, few foolish japanese ppl predict that all the invasions and colonizations were to protect asia... but all it did was horrify and terrorize them. I dunno what would hav happened if US didn't bomb Japan... Due to the bombing, Japan learned the peaceful way of life totally opposite of the Bushido, or the way of the samurais...

Atika Shubert is another reporter who appears to have failed to research her story. The J-govt says there are 16 abductees to NK. She is correct in portraying the left-behind families pain, but failed to acknowledge the thousands of families in the US and around the world, who's children have been kidnapped by Japanese citizens. Japan has become a haven for intl. child abduction and the J-govt offers sanctuary to Japanese abductors from prosecution worldwide . Shame on Japan and Akita.

although i wont deny that jap is kidnapping especially from South East Asia. How about Americans, then? it seems to be same with jap. Making clear what is going on behind our eyes is crucial. Yes, I agree, the topics are broader. We should discuss every situation where Japan is behind the societal norms of the rest of the civilized world. In America Kidnapping is illegal and unacceptable. The overwhelming response of the J-people to the NK abductions demonstrates that J-people find kidnapping unacceptable...yet their govt seems to aid and support J-citizens who kidnap children from all over the world. The real victims are the children. Japans plummetting birth rate proves this fact.

im not sure that J-gov aid the kidnapping for the completement of declined birth rate( cuz kidnapped people cannot be showed in statistics) However, if that so it should be blamed. Whereas i suppose that those international crimes can be conducted with some related chains of org.( even if J-gov have some responsibi, support from other countries would be required)So, we have to be careful to understand such crimes as one country's fault. It is ok to blame , but solving prob is important.
