Any story that's worth telling has heartbreak, sacrifice, or loss of some kind. It makes characters grow and develope in stories the same way it changes people in real life. Pain causes people to relate and it makes the character seem more real. So tell me, What did Bella EVER give up? Did she lose anyone? Nope. Did she give anything up? Nope. SHe was just GIVEN a happy end.

People why must we all compare Harry Potter and Twilight? Harry Potter is story that built upon complex sub-stories with lots of background details, where as Twilight is just simply true love- crazy and complicated in it's own way. Both are great stories just one is for people how like action and one is for people who are in love with an idea of love that doesn't really exist anymore. Can we just agree that they are completely different and don't need to be compared?

Twilight and Harry Potter are two completely different things. I don't understand why they are compaired-their only similarity is that they're popular books, made into movies. Meyer's writing style may be on a lower level, but you have to remember that it was written for preteens. I am a Potterhead, but I have to give Meyer props: she did achieve a lot in writing her saga. Stop hating based on what books people read. What ever floats your boat.
