A typical championship final bout. Fighters have already taken the risks to get this far and as such the rewards are greater here and no one is prepared to do anything remotely exciting.

All the real action seems to take place in the earlier knock out stages. Quite boring!

@icadist It is possible to achieve certain level. I don't want start a moral discussion here, each one take their own conclusions. But this is not karate, this is a sport that came from karate. Different things, everyone is free to choose which one wants to practice.

@DW01 frm d way u speak u sound like a karateka,so,in my dojo we r taught to put our weaker hand over our heads to protect it and put our stronger arm close to d ribs to protect dem and also to give more powerful punches(gyaku zsuki) y arent dry doin dat?

One of the biggest problems from a spectators point of view is that karate bouts are so stoppy-starty it just frustrates, then bores, the 'average' fight fan from trying to follow it as a combat sport.
