@languy99 i rarely subscribe but you rely test the ANT-virus sisums and i thank you for oping up my eay to this sever security issue on my net work, and i thank you.
I have CIS and SEP,and what SEP doesn't do in terms of network protection (blocking connections to or from my PC) CIS does, likewise with viruses but the other way around.
@languy99 The SONAR version in SEP isn't the current one used in Norton, i believe the latest SONAR is being deployed into the SEP product in autumn 2010. Its weakness to detect threats may be due to the settings being set too low...
Symantec Endpoit protection fails because it doesn't have a behaviour blocker like other their products can count on like Sonar. Great review! Thanks!
can you please install Comodo Internet Security Premium 4.1 on an infected Pc. To see how good it is at removing Viruses and to see if any of the pieces of malware on the Pc can terminate it. Thanks like always man Great Reviews. What you do takes a lot of hard work.
@TheShadowkiddx Right now I can tell you it would not do good. The reason being is that comodo has not worked and cleaning an infected pc with CIS. They are starting to work on that right now. Their main goal was to keep a pc clean. But when they do finish the cleaning aspect I will test it.
@TheBuckbull no it would not be because it would still rely on the signatures of other av vendors and even it could achieve 99.999% detection ratio ( impossible but lets say it could), out of 10 million pieces of malware it would still miss 100 and all it takes is 1 to infect your pc, steal your credit card info, make you part of a bot network, etc. And that is assuming no new malware is made and checked against the signatures. Blacklisting is not the way of the future.
@languy99 well yea not literally bulletproof i just meant to say it would be the best signature based antivirus i think virtualization is the future like shadow defender or returnil or sandboxing
@languy99 To get ultimate protection you need signatures, HIPS, behavior blocker, heuristics, firewall (to block hacker attacks) and Rootkit Protection!
@StormerR34 No, not at all, because if you get a virus that steals your identity then you can't do anything about it since Sandbox/Virtualization is only for restore on a clean state.
IF i disable the Network Threat protection will i be able to turn it on again
