  • Yes! The Monster was chewing gum! Robert Haas. His parents ran a sweet shop for years in my home town of Syosset, New York.

  • Have you read the Joseph Conrad Story (Short Novel), "Youth?" It's excellent, really great, and the narrator keeps saying "Ah, Youth!" between relating episodes from his seafaring youth (and drinking). Actually, he says "Ah, Youth...Pass The Bottle!"
