OK, first off I'm NOT fond of MSFT. But from a SW POV IMO Apple is even worse because they force you to buy their hardware to run their OS. At least Microsoft follows an Open architecture and being consistant, not a bunch of incompetible overpriced closed architecture that Apple decided to drop and screw loyal customers.
