Oh man, I haven't had one of those in forever! I remember when the Krispy Kreme by my house first opened up, you had to wait in line a while to get them, but eventually they just closed it down and I've never seen another one in my city and I refuse to buy the cold, pre-boxed Krispy Kreme they sell at 7-11. My local one would actually give out sample donuts too, so maybe it's a company policy???
they announced that Krispy Kreme was closing last year here (VA) but it's still open! It's messing with my emotions!!!! but they're sooooo good, too good to stay made at! haahahahaha :)
A 50 minute wait is shorter then it would be for me to get some Krispy Kreme. The local store closed about five years ago and I haven't had when ever since. The closest store is in another state. I never figured out why it closed down in the first place, it's not like people stopped eating the things.
Sometimes I really do think Krispy Kremes here in states put trace amounts of crack in the glaze. Its the only explanation of why they taste soooo good.
Do the Krispy Kremes in Japan seem like they have that sort of hidden taste of goodness to them?
lol you were so excited! i have to be honest, im so cheap after getting a whole doughnut as the sample I would have left the line but i do understand after all the time you spent finding it, it was worth getting a whole box
In NY, about 15 years ago, they opened up their first location in Chelsea, then about dozen of them followed. I remember that then I told my friends in Tokyo about how good KKD was. However, now all but one is gone, people forgot about them. It feels a bit strange to see them doing so well there now. But I still like their Glazed ones.
lol Krispy Kreme is good but it seems sooooo over rated in Japan. Does Japanese people just assume that Krispy Kreme and doughnuts are what americans eat so it's cool? lol i wouldn't wait even 5 mins to buy a dougnut anywhere.
@TripRockn Japanese people in general love sweets and Krispy Kreme falls into that category.
Hey, when you haven't eaten something that you love from back home in almost year...I would line up for even an hour if I had to! Its nice to get a taste of home every once and a while.
I used to be addicted to their donuts! now i cant stand them. I havent ate a donut in so long. :) 6:05 that girl wanted some camera time. haha!
