  • Better than any Tupac I've ever heard! Nas and P kill this track.

  • @MrParker444 Haha, that was like two years ago when I posted that, bro. Done some growing since then, and apparently Mobb has too, I remember hearing that they left 50's label. Long story short, I've expanded my views. I think that signing on with G-Unit fermented Mobb's commercial streak, which has basically been a shit streak, for them. Their older, grimier stuff is indescribably better than anything they've put out in the past 6-7 years, and they fell off big time as a result.

  • prodigy has the best lyrics on earth

  • Mines isn't a word...

  • Apathy did a short freestyle to this and House Of Pain Put Ya Head Out its called word to the 23rd freestyle

  • nas ate this song for breakfast then shitted it out on whack emcees

  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc

    sudo apt-get upgrade

  • nas kills it definetely

  • classic mobb deep mixed with nas and a bit of wu? could it get any better?

  • @LynchDnB nas and mobb deep are dope. Tupac and B.I.G are dope too. End. Retards trine compare rappers, goes too far when you supress two legends like pac and biggie.

  • Comment removed

  • @PariahIsHipHop thats fucking lame, "do a joint " anyone who phrases it like that must be a rich little asshole, you'd swear it was heroin

  • @gt2e Real recognize real. Quit trying to amend for broken dreams by trolling on youtube. You want to talk big, write a 16 and get at me. That's right, you're not even an MC. To every whack artist there's 10 cynics to match who's sentiments are just as fucking hollow, you're nothing new to me bitch.

  • @PariahIsHipHop what ?????? you made no sense you simple fucking prick and no im not a mc what do fuck has that to do with anything ?? was that your version of an insult, like i said your just lame you dumb bastard

  • Comment removed

  • wu tangs kicken it to though still

  • Real Shit

  • This is too lyrical for most niggas to comprehend,

now-a-days, if the bass aint boomin, it aint shit...

    society is fucked up.

  • nas and prodigy best rappers ever i dont care what anyone says nas beats pac and fatty smalls any day same with prodigy

  • @LynchDnB there greazy, but you shouldn't compare to legends

  • @quyuyuyuy prodigy and nas are more than legends not even a word for it

  • Uh...this song is about as perfect as music gets. If you can't appreciate this, you don't need to be listening to hip-hop. Period.

"Life is a gamble, we scramble for money

I might crack a smile, but ain't a damn thing funny"

How in the hell do you hear lines like that and not feel this song?

  • reall gangsta shyt no doubt

  • fuck ur spellin niggah

  • Perfect winter weather music.

  • A got damn shame these East coast niggas couldn't all get along.

Imagine various collabs with Chef, Mobb, Jay, Nas, AZ, Biggie, shit even Big L.

  • @cibida1 Most of these guys you mentioned that are still alive are all cool now. Nas just did a joint with Rae, apparently Nas talking to Prodigy again, and you know him and Jay are cool now.

  • @Antrizzle2009 I understand that but I'm talking in their primes, when they were still all hungry.

  • @cibida1 I see what you're saying, although none of them had any real beef, except for Big and Rae n' Ghost. But I saw this interview where Meth explained that shit. He was saying those two didn't like anybody and as soon as they saw that RTD album cover, they immediately flipped out. Nas was cool with all them tho, like he said on "Last Real Nigga Alive".

  • "niggaz tryed to creep on the side of my jeep stuck the heat thru the window rock they ass 2 sleep" fuckin cold ass wordplay no doubt

  • the chef killed it

  • "playin corners glancin all up in your cornea

Corner ya, seen cats snatch monies up on ya

But late night, candlelight fiend with a crack right

It's only right, feelin higher than an airplane right"

    Rae & Nas killed it!

  • dont hear mines, sure it mine bro

  • EYE FOR AN EYE

  • i mite crack a smile but aint a dam thang funny.

  • inspectah deck is a great rapper but the thing is he just ain't good for a whole song, he's good for one verse or too

  • @JustinBieberisGOD1 I hate to admit it...but I must agree with you on that.

  • @JustinBieberisGOD1 Nah Deck first solo album was ill. But for the most part your right.

  • whatever happened to the original version of this song...P had a different verse..."first of all the foundation...money is the root of all evil...the cream'll have you shittin on your people...living like lotto...everything is everything...aint nothing changed but the clothes that my money bring...i'm making figures that i never thought possible...u try to slow me down you find yourself in a hospital..."?? only place i can find that verse now is on the A+ album. :-\

  • LIFE IS GAMBLE....WE SCRAMBLE FOR MONEY.....I MIGHT CRACK A SMILE BUT AINT A DAMN THING FUNNY....prodigy actually hit this joint aight foreal.....and Nas flow was just fuckin POETIC....as usual..so smooth n mellow n disturbingly VICIOUS.....so sick....this joint rocks....

    ~MDZ of RedZonE

  • 8 mile xD

  • Raekwon Kills his verse, at the time he was killin shit! At these times Biggie, An Raekwon really had issues!

  • 1st time hearin this song & already lovin it... sick flow

  • when Nas is on his shit he is really ON his shit, y'know?

    Nas the G.O.A.T.

  • this is what rap used to be because they grew up around drugs, killing and plenty of violence. no good rappers have lived a pretty life. they rapped about what that had been through and things that have done and seen. fuckin lil wayne and soulja bitch aint got shit and only rap about money and hoes cause that's all they have; a bunch of money from young kids that don't know real music and gold diggers that don't give a shit about them cause he looks and acts stupid as fuck. they garbage

  • @legionpaintball22 I almost completly agree with you, but back your shit up first. Lil wayne was not born into money... I dont know about soulja boy... but i will agree that lil wayne sucks and THIS IS MUSIC!

  • yoooooooo , im 13 and this my shit!

  • hate songs where the beat is louder than the rapping.

  • No joke. The most beautiful sounding collection of words in a rap ever is in Nas's voice:

    "A drug dealer's dream

Stash CREAM keys on a triple beam

Five hundred SL green, ninety-five nickle gleam

Condominium, thug dressed like a gentleman

Tailor made ostrich, Chanel for my women friend"

Its amazing how he raps so casually about this lifestyle and its dark side yet makes the beauty of the words themselves shine through.

  • I Love This Song Mostly Because Of Nas' Verse

Especially The First Four Bars (The Ones The You Typed)

It's So Catchy, I Sing It All The Time

His Flow Is Crazy On This Song Too

I Wish Hip hop Like This Would come Back

  • there's beauty in rapping about profiting off of other peoples addiction problems?

  • Yes, mam.

  • haha, i like the song as much as the next man, but why bother trying to intellectually defend the "beauty" of the lyrics like spacecoffin did? haven't you ever seen chris rocks bit on rap?

  • u said that so right word up bro nas is fuckin amazing

  • @spacecoffin His verse on Verbal Intercourse outshines this one

  • "You wanna bust caps I get, all up in your area

Kidnap your children make the situation scarier

Life is a gamble, we scramble for money

I might crack a smile but ain't a damn thing funny"

    ILLEST FUCKEN LINE...

  • I know

  • you fags need to stop arguing this east coast-west coast Pac beef bullshit. this ended almost fifteen years ago, stop talking about it. jesus. you dipshits just need to accept both Pac and the Mobb as the legends that they both were (Mobb isn't really anymore, sense they take it up the butt from 50).

  • word up!

  • i agree but pac would murder 50 cent and stuff just like he dit in hit em up

  • Your the dipshit for thinking Mobbdeep are or were legends.

  • TRUE words there - forget the east coast west coast beef because it is over and also true that pac and mobb deep are BOTH legends but mobb are still good even with g-unit (my opionion)

  • @darklordoprah Dude, did anyone even know? THEY LEFT G-UNIT!

  • @shahryarization That was just the biggest disgrace. I'm honestly not feeling any of Mobb's new stuff, Prodigy's flow and rhymes just aren't good now and even Havoc can't seem to make beats like he used to. If they came out with another album that was on par with The Infamous or even Murda Muzik, all would be forgiven, but that's not what I'm seeing. I can barely even listen to their newer stuff, it's diminished so much. That "Dirty New Yorker" song on GTA 4 was complete shit, for instance.

  • @darklordoprah Haha, saying what most cant be fucked saying. Most the worlds fucked in the head. Internet is testament to that fact.

  • @darklordoprah hahaha damn fuckin right every1 sellin out these days ice cube dr dre if pac or biggie were still alive they would have never sold out like that

  • @darklordoprah mobb deep is still the shit but the industry has turn to shit so would you rather get paid or jerked for your efforts?

  • @darklordoprah what do you mean they take it up the ass by 50?

  • @darklordoprah Sure they have made a lot of shitty music with 50 cent,it's unfair to discredit everything they done before. And they actually have some good songs lately, so we can just pretend those songs with lil jon never happened.

  • Raekwon, Prodigy, and Nas are the 3 best NY rappers. Havoc did a sick beat for this song.

  • Mobb deep fuck'n sucks. 2pac killed em on hit em up.

  • he killed evry of his enemy in that rap

  • pan8a you a fucktard don't listen to it if u think he sucks and pac is good but if you can't apprieciate mobb deep you don't know whats good

  • Kick back fanboy. I;m not even a real big fan of Tupac he was alright but the fact is he destroyed em, as a matter of fact he ruined their career. You definitely are a fuctard if you think mobdeep is in the upperelm of hiphop.

  • and then Mobb Deep killed pac

  • If you say so. after that whole sick-o-cell line there was no comeback. I f you were around in '95-'96 you would have seen first hand how they fell into obscurity. Their finally getting somekind of attention now cuz youngsters are are tired wack ass shit coming out now.

  • dude why are our comments censored?

  • the fuck are you talking about?

  • because thats the way he made them

  • cause they control us like that herb

  • Early 90's Rap was the SHIT,, Raekwon KIlls this shit

  • one of the illest joints ever

  • Before there was 50.... there was Mobb

  • Old school shit from Queens Bridge.

    Fuck that commercial shit

  • Comment removed

  • this bitches favorite rapper is probably lil wayne ur a fuckin goof buddy go listen to that prom queen shit and that song where he fuckin keeps showin the rocker sign like get the fuck outta here ahahahhah

  • this some straight serial killer shit, fuck all you weak minded youngins who can't feel these shit right here,

about a year ago some dumb muthafucker told me to change this shit, (i was bumping it on the car) ha man, i felt like slapping the bum, and not to long ago some dumb bitch did the same thing while i was bumping hell on earth, bitch told me to put some weak ass commercial bullshit instead, i felt like dick slapping the stupid bitch, so i did, later that day.

  • its old skool

  • don't tell me that you a hiphopper..

don't fuk'kin tell me, that you don't know how a real classic sounds like mayn o.Õ

  • old skool young niggas today can't relate.

  • im 13 and i mess with wu-tang clan, onyx, mobb deep, beastie boys,a tribe called quest, rakim(the g.o.a.t.),juice crew,krs-one,and kool g rap. i know about hip hop sun and it will never leave my bones.madd peopeople think im wierd cuz i say lil wayne and soulja boy suck.their lyrics are bubble gum i only mess with lyrical hip hop.
