  • I certainly wouldn't recommend it. Workshop compressors all spit out tiny droplets of oil, and you'll be very likely to blow dust *inside* the camera and onto the sensor.

  • I hadn't seen your video before but did the same several months ago 'cause the lens had two major specks stuck in it. (As a last resort) this method worked great!

  • Thanks - that worked for me with a can of dust off. It took a couple of goes but it definitely works. Great tip to open the battery compartment.. Great tip!

  • dust on the sensor is more visible at f8 or the bigger f number you can put on your camera

  • Excellent info. Worked for my G9 without having to dismantle it.

    I didn't have an air hose, but a canned air-duster - and this worked fine.
