  • i agree recolours arnt new and their cool it is nice to have new charachters, but same as you get different people who look similar its nice to have tfs who look similar as well as different, its better to have the coice, i got a g2 sideswipe great toy, as a kid i took the horrid green stickers off though, i always wanted the red sideswipe as a kid but i couldnt find him so i made do with the g2 one for that reason i never loved it as much back then cause he didnt look right, now i love him

  • Its basicly Red Alert with Prowl stickers.

  • Great review as usual Graham. The model these guys are is the Lamborghini Countach.

  • Nice review G. Hope we get some classics versions of those some time.

  • Nice review gram! Cool looking figures too. They would look great with the G1 TFs for sure! Ty for sharing!

  • I LOVE clampdown.. I'm a sucker for emergency vehicle formers.. And this guy is just awesome looking!

  • @T2rx6 it does look pretty cool

  • Awesome review brah. Honestly, I look forward to your reviews every week, keep up the stellar work.

  • @mcchrism cheers mate, glad you like them

  • These look great. Never seen them before.

  • CHMS actually has a Classics Deepcover repaint off Universe Sideswipe. Pretty darn cool idea for a KO. Although, I have not seen it available on any online stores ;)

  • @gavinfuzzy i do have that somewhere, i was going to paint it up as a G2 sideswipe. i dont think you will see it on any online stores as it was a k.o. and hasbro will take sites to court now for selling them

  • yep ur right clamdown is the white one and deepcover is the black one

  • What happend to your hand, dude?

  • @Thunderwing88 i cut it on a glass, but its all healed up now as this vid was done around november

  • Ah yes. The original Diaclone Black Sideswipe is considered by some, to be one of the holy grails. Only came boxed in a special set, packaged with Powered Convoy and the ever so lovely, Red Mirage. Just type up "powered convoy" in google images. You'll get quite a bit of pictures of the box they came in.

Diaclone figures were always out of my range, due to them being so damn bloody expensive, but if I ever were to come across this set, I just might make the exception.

  • @pathosis i must look for those as they sound cool

  • cool review dude! i want these guys!

  • you forgot to mention that the letters in their names are reversed ClampDown and DeepCover. that's why you have to have both!

  • i got both of these guys a couple of years ago on ebay and im glad i did because they are pretty hard to find and i love this mold.

  • There was a diaclone of red alert in police guise, but I was not familiar with the black version. nice review. I was thinking of getting the yellow version, but like yourself, couldn't be bothered to spend so much money on it. However, this is coming from the guy who would love to own the yellow trailbreaker.

  • @WolfKang1 are you interested in the red hoist? its 1 ive wanted for ages but costs way to much...... still knowing what we are like lol

  • Great review Graeme and btw I'm doing my own G1 Sideswipe review as a tribute to G1 Deepcover plus I'm also doing my own reviews G1 Sideswipe and G1 Red Alert in 1 video on the day my G1 Sideswipe reissue arrives. All the best to you dude

  • Sideswipe is my favorite transformer and I am definitely going to try to track down these two. Thanks, Graham!

  • These are in Diaclone colours. Deepcover came in a box set with powered convoy and a red mirage which is ultra rare. hope to get these ehobby releases one day. great review mate.

  • Prowl and Barricade wannabes. Lol Sweet review bro and keep up the awesome. :)

  • @Vdecepticon cheers mate

  • nice review Graham....yep grown tired of takara/hasbro...just giving us the finger by releasing recolors..and re-issuing re-issues of the same transformers they re-issued 5 years ago...they have the potential to make every G1 transformers in the Masterpiece but do nothing...seriously moving on to different toy lines...who are doing great things..and now worth my hard earned money.

  • @FrenzyandLazerbeak i really know how you feel, i hardly see anything i want to spend my money on tf wise these days

  • I really like how glossy clampdown is.

I really don't mind recolors even as adult. There is a certain satisfaction of having all the uses of the mold collected together. like a specialised combat unit that uses the same equipment.

  • where do you get these??!!

  • @legobuilder554 best place may be ebay

  • @thecollector75 thanks =)

  • Yep, the Countach, my favourite. The classics versions are based on the Diablo I think.

  • Countach.

  • This mold's always given me the impression that the robots have exposed mid difts. :)
