Sylvania Silverstars ULTRA

My fog lights are brighter than those. I just bought a $48 pair of silverstar ultra. 4100k and they are wayyy brighter than these.... And they have a slight blue tint..or maybe it just seems that way because everyone else's headlights are yellow.

that is some shitty lighting pal. im running 9006&9007 for hi/low and st's for fogs and they light up the road big time just running low beams and fogs, maybe cuz i drive a Z71 and sits higher cuz my old stocks still blind you compared to yur new bud sorry

I have 10000k lows and 8000k highs and I've never had trouble with cops. Once a cop told me the stock hids on a Cadillac driven by an old couple in projector headlights were brighter than mine in reflectors . With my 8000k highs , people flash me during the day lol

2004 suburban, the low and high are 9005. i forced the 9005 in to the low socket. better lighting....try it. You will see the diffrence.

Ive had them silverstar ultras in my cobalt and i can honestly say they suck!! Since then ive upgraded to H.I.D headlights 8K in stock hosuings and i can honestly say they are atleast 3X if not more brighter and wider + they last longer than these. Man dont be a puss get H.I.D headlights.

@austinreich75 no doubt man. i got ultras and thought they were the shit. they blew every 6 months. i finally got 4300k HID and its been 6 months. no glare either.

@austinreich75 but they are illegal right? I had silver star ultras in my car and didn't last like 6 months so I bought HID too scared to blind other people cuz it's too bright and is illegal.

@austinreich75 Yes, they are illegal in halogen housing. I'm assuming you didn't retro-fit your headlights with projectors that are legal for HIDs.

@redsrule2500 No I did't retro-fit my headlights with projectors cause projectors suck cause they only project the light in one area where your stock headlights spread em out. I got 10,000K HID bixenon headlights and havent had any problems with cops or blinding. In fact a cop here told me that they really couldn't say anything cause BMW and Mercedes Benz has em on there cars.

no, there is no blue tint to sliver star they are just a really bright white basically.

Silverstars work fine. If they look yellow or anything, it's because you lenses are faded and discolored. Any headlight works best when the lenses are crystal clear.

These do not put off any blue light at all. If you want the blue light look, go with HID's.

Go for it, they're extremely bright, much better than halogens. Just don't get fog lights if you have any, they keep busting on me. But the headlight have been great!

I bought a set of these for my suv, I was so dissapointed it wasn't white. But it's bright tho. I thought it was like a BMW white, it was just light yellow.

you need hid for the bmw look and much brighter ligh out put go with the 4300k or more blue look go with the 8000k

silverstars ultra is not white they came out yellow but brighter then stock bulbs.

I bought these for my suburban and I was really disappointed the bulbs looked yellow. sylvania silverstar (not ultra) are whiter.

they are way better than the regular bulbs when u install the ultra just after u install one side turn on the headlights to see the diff between the 2 i will post the video as i just changed on my 08 santa fe and made a huge diff.

I just the silverstar ultras because they were on sale for $35 a pair. You also get $10 rebate from Sylvania. They are better the the regular ones and a improvement over regular silverstars. These are worth the $35 but I wouldn't pay the $50 the normally cost.

No one bothers to say if they see a improvement enough to spend $50. Does anyone know if they are really any brighter than the regular ones. I had the regular ones in my car. They were only whiter and didn't last long. Sylvania is short on specs on the ultras. No temp for them and only small pictures for comparison. You can view large pics side by side for the rest.
