  • Peter exalted himelf and declared I am a Saint and will never betray. At that he was destined to be humbled. Learn..dont preach.

Which was what we are called to be. Christ-like. Does the body of Christ exist on earth? Yes. The Church, which is the pillar of all truth...1st Timothy 3:15. If as Christians we choose through pride to not revere the work of the Holy Sprirt through these saints....then that is by choice.

  • The church is under attack and those who dont hold fast to the traditions will be washed away with the worlds flood. That world that rails againt organized religion and just do not understand the good that has come from it. The accuser will only allow the world to see the hypocrites and sinners in the church. Which is I why I would guess Christ condemns hypocrisy. Cause he does condemn it.Those who dont abide in His word are like those that build their homes on a soft foundation.

  • i dont doubt his heroic efforts. Catholics tend to build up men rather than just focus on Jesus. you can view the Catholic church through any era...brutal oppression, helping the Nazis to allowing rampant sexual abuse of children...all covered up. i would be ashamed to be a Catholic apologist. false gods in saints, false teachings and worship of Mary and dead religion.

  • @theshortfamily Wrong sir. We see the act of the Holy Spirit through his earthly vessels. We believe in the Holy Spirit. He is the Lord, the giver of life. With the Father and Son he worshipped and glorified.

We dont dare boast of our own righteousness, and we dont dare declare ourselves saints. The saints never do. That is why they are saints, and the reason why I am not. If I boast I shal boast most gladly of my weakness. You have now taught falsley and I advise you to repent.

  • @bronco3250 You pray to men, worship Mary as your intercessor and choose dead religious ritual over relationship. You don't even address the atrocities mentioned above. How many murdered souls lie dead at the feet of THE CHURCH. 2000 years of false gods, false teachings and lies. Repentance is needed but it starts with your Pope and people like you. You don't declare yourself saints your Pope does that. It's not hard to point out the wickedness of Catholicism...deal with your sins.

  • Rest In Peace!!!

  • AT LEAST THE CATHOLICS GOT A TASTE OF WHAT THEY TREATED US JEWS WITH FOR A LONG WHILE! CHRIST'S CHURCH IS NOT THE CATHOLIC CULT! SCRIPTURE BACKS THE UP! THE CHURCH OF THE APOSTLES FOLLOWED BIBLICAL WORSHIP, IN OTHER WORDS THEY CELEBRATED THE FEASTS OF LEVITICUS 23, THIS IS EVEN NOTED IN THE CATECHISM THAT YOUR CULT CHANGED THE SABBATH DAY!

  • @MenechemShaul You're sick. Why would you even say that? My dad is Jewish my mom Catholic. I havent heard any bad thing from one religion to the other from either side of my family. You are missing Love, and you have only bitterness and anger in your heart. Jesus help you. Cant you see how St. Kolbe let a life of purity and martyrdom. Try to imitate the Saints, instead of bashing on the Catholic Church. Jesus rose on Sunday, we pray to the living God. Thats why we go to Church Sundays. God bless

  • @ALUKED04 You're the one who is sick! My Great Grandmother's family were turned in by Nuns during the Shoa! Need I remind you that What Yeshua Teaches in Scripture is alot Different from what the Church teaches?! I was raised Catholic, Yes there are saved Catholics [mostly they are in the Charismatic Movement] and maybe he is one, but if they are still worshiping "Saints" than they are not saved!

  • @MenechemShaul There is not one thing that the Catholic Church does that contradicts the Bible. If anything, the Catholic Church FULFILLS the Bible and Jesus' teachings! No matter what source you use (either a religious or secular), the Catholic Church is the FIRST Church founded by Jesus Christ. I have never heard of "Saint" worship. Intercession yes, but worship is a little too extreme.

  • @ALUKED04 As it is Rosh Hashana I am going to make this short. I will tell you one thing that the Cult does that goes against Scripture, Calling Mary Queen of heaven (Jeremiah 44)!

  • @MenechemShaul you seem to forget all the jews the vatican hid under the nazi rule

  • A quote from Max Kolbe "That night, I asked the Mother of God what was to become of me. Then she came to me holding two crowns, one white, the other red. She asked me if I was willing to accept either of these crowns. The white one meant that I should persevere in purity, and the red that I should become a martyr. I said that I would accept them both."

  • Fr. Kolbe had a vision of the Blessed Virgin when he was younger. She presented him with a lily for purity of the heart and a crown for martyrdom. She asked him which one he wanted and he responded to her, "Both of them." Fr. Kolbe died on the vigil of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Another interesting fact that a group of his priests survived the nuclear bomb blast in Nagasaki. Everything was leveled around them. Never underestimate the power and protection of God's love fo us.

  • @catholics4unity never underestimate the power of the rosary

  • @mufc1970ok

    MenechemShaul

Hey Christ Killer. Catholic Church is one only true faith , Convert before your day of death comes.

  • @whitesox2005ify your not a real Catholic.

  • Saint Maximillian Kolbe pray for us.

  • No number we put here will give the honor to such a man of GOD!!! St Kolbe pray for us

Cause he does condemn it.

Those who dont abide in His word are like those that build their homes on a soft foundation.

  • I certainly am not a Saint, let me make that clear. So so far from it.

  • @bronco3250

Amen. The Progresive Catholics and none Catholics will be judge on judgement day.

Like the rest of us the only difference is that if before death if we are in state of Mortal sin will end up in hell. But yes you are right, like that lousy Jew how posted his coment. Christ Killer, there is no salvation for Jews or anyother none Tradtional Catholic.

  • @whitesox2005ify I hate to say it, but I struggle with sin,and basically dont doubt that I will be going to hell. I cant explain why, other than I am in mortal sin.

It isnt easy to know that, but that is where I am.

My suggestion is to not do what Christ said not to do. He was very clear, to not judge. That...is all up to Him. Romans 9 says He will choose whomever he chooses.

The bottom line, is it wasnt the Jews that crucified Him. I did. Me, and me alone.

  • i love st. max - ever since seeing a painting of him in st. patrick's church, soho sq., london and makin enquiries. what a man - establishing two orders, one in Japan, publishing a popular newsletter, sheltering vulnerable jews, radio broadcasts, all in the name of God. Then he gave his life for another. . . RIP St. Max

  • A protestant once asked me why do you Catholics revere Saints?....aren't we all Saints that believe in Him? To that...I said no, we are most certainly NOT all Saints in the eyes of the Lord.

  • Thats was a fantastic reply, and its logical since if you had a murderer or a criminal, would god consider that person the same as one devoted to him through his or her entire life. God bless you my friend!!

  • A saint is a person who is a Christian. Paul's letters to Corinth show that - yet they were not the best behaved. But the action of Maximilian Kolbe shows the same type of love as Jesus Himself. Jesus died for the undeserving, & Kolbe died for someone he didn't know.

  • Which was what we are called to be. Christ-like. Does the body of Christ exist on earth? Yes. The Church, which is the pillar of all truth...1st Timothy 3:15. If as Christians we choose through pride to not revere the work of the Holy Sprirt through these saints....then that is by choice.

I choose to recognize the work and I choose to recognize Christ through His faithful servants. I see Christ.

For all good things come from God.

To not acknowledge it, is to not recognize Him. PRIDE

  • By implying that allChristians are Saints and you saying that you are christian is you exalting yourself to the status of Saint.Learnthe lesson from the lst Supper. One of the disciple acknowledged his unworthiness.John who reclined upon the Chest of our Lord and asked if it was himthat was to betray. He humbled himself and was the only one to be atthe foot of the cross. Peter exalted himelf and declared I am a Saint and will never betray. At that he was destined to be humbled. Learn..dont preach

  • Perhaps I have not made myself clear. Christians are only Christians because of what Jesus did on the cross; nothing more or less. Any good deeds we perform are like filthy rags. A Christian is a saint wholly and solely because of that. What Mr Kolbe did was out of love for Jesus because of what Jesus had done for him, not an attempt to win points with Him. That is why all Christians are saints; because of God's grace in Christ. We cannot earn that honour.

  • The point is Saints are to be honored for no other reason than we recognize Him(Chirst) and the work of the Holy Spirit through earthly vessels. Christ said to honor the Kingdom is to honor Him. For those that do anything for the sake of kingdom of heaven.

Idolatry deals with anything that is not the Kingdom of Heaven like the golden calf.

To honor Saints is to honor Christ. To imitate Saints...is to honor Christ. 1stCor 11:1 Paul says ro imitate him for he is in Christ.

  • Who is going to heaven? Thats real simple...whomever Jesus chooses. Remember it isnt we that choose Him, it is He who chooses us.

It is by grace that we shall by saved and not by lest a man shall BOAST, for we are each rendered judgement according to our deeds. 2nd Romans, John ch 5, Matthew 25 31:46, the story of the Good Samaritan.

So again, who is going to heaven? Whomever Jesus chooses for He is the way truth and life. And he will choose all who have done the Father's will.

  • For does it not say only those that have done the father's will and the merciful shall obtain His mercy? Or isnt that a beatitude? Seromn on the mound, Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.

Presumption is not Faith and Faith doesnt mean to presume.

For faith with out works is dead. And faith with out works is the biblical definition of presumption.

Hold fast to the traditions that have been passed on to us. 1st Corinthians.

For the record, I am no Saint.

  • BTW saying any good deed is a filthy rag is totally mis-interpreting IS:64. It doesnt say any good deed. It means those that carry on in sin..the good deeds have become like filthy rags.

However anything good comes from the Father and every good deed done in Christ is the will of the Father and to say anything that comes from the Father is a filthy rag is virtual blasphemy.

Again, to not recognize the handy work of the Holy Spirit through an earthly vessel is PRIDE. Pure and simple

  • Kolbe is the closest man to Christ I have ever known or heard of.

  • I owe so much in my life to St Maximillian Kolbe.

God bless you St.Max and may your light ever shine on those who, like me, have lost there way.

  • St. Maximillian Kolbe, pray for us.

  • This is a great story of sacrifice and of appreciation. May we all appreciate the sacrifice of Jesus for us who believe.

  • what the hell (<---- =o pray for me!!! for i have sinned) well i respect you peoples beliefs but seriously...anything interesting?

  • Why did you come here?

    Think about that.

  • I would not expect Maximilian Kolbe to pray for anyone - Christians pray to God through Jesus Christ. But the example of the highest kind of love does not amaze you? How sad for you.

  • What a testimony for God and for the love of mankind.

  • I heard that the man who St. Kolbe died for was alive to speak at his canonization as a saint.

  • itsallaboutspade: Yes, this is true. The man for whom Maximillian Kolbe gave his life for , lived till 1995. His name is Franciszek Gajowniczek. He was 93 or 94.

I had the honor of being in Rome in October of 1982 for the canonization by JPII.

  • that's absolutely amazing.

  • Max Kolbe was a Great Man! and we should follow our hearts rather than a 'god' that does not exist!

  • You miss the idea completely. Kolbe died not for some humanistic idea but because he believed in God. If he didn't then he would have shut up.

  • I think you miss the whole idea. He didnt die because he believed in God. He died out of compssion for another person. Thereby imitating Christ. There is a difference.

He considered himself least, thefore he gave his life for a friend. No greater love then to give your life for another. When one gives his life for another he saves it.

He became a proven pattern for us to not just emulate, but imitate. For he is in Christ. To not do that....is to be guilty of pride.

  • Yes , to love someone is to show that you care for him without caring for Outcome.

Meaning of OUTCOME in this text is that you dont care for your interest.

  • He was a great man of God and a witness for all of us to follow in his footsteps as we follow our LORD Jesus Christ.
