Battlefield 3 | Favorite Class Setup [M16A3 + Holo] - HD PC Gameplay

Very good video and gameplay. For the past month I've been only playing at Operation Metro with this setup :M16A3 + Holo + Silencer and I really love it. What do you think of silencer? Should I keep it on, I like it sound :)

thanks! as to your question, if you're playing mostly operation metro, since it's such a small map, i would probably keep the silencer on because it's going to reduce your recoil and make you better in close quarter situations. at this point i go back and forth between using it and just leaving the laser sight on :)

it's funny i've tried using the acog, but for whatever reason i just don't like it. i think it's that the magnification is slightly higher than what i'm comfortable with, so unless i'm sniping, the holo sight is the highest zoom scope i'll go with.

i think it depends on the map and on whether or not you prefer staying off the minimap. the heavy barrel is good if most of your gunfights are going to be longer range because it allows you to do more damage at range, but it also increases your recoil. the suppressor essentially does the opposite, it's better if most of your gunfights are going to be close range.

I also use this setup for assault, except I use the laser sight instead of the heavy barrel. What I love about the choice of sight is that unlike the other assault rifles the m16's front iron sight is visible, which allows for a dark/black aiming piece in contrast with the bright red of the holographic sight, if you're aiming at someone who's in a dark area the holographic sight lets you clearly see where you're aiming, and it's vice versa with the front iron sight.

It also allows for an unmatched level of openness when aiming down the sight. With the fore-grip and laser sight attachment you drastically decrease recoil and improve hip fire accuracy as well. In short, the setup is accurate from short range to far middle range. Pulling up the sight is quick. The screen is barely covered by the sight rim and the gun when aiming down the sights. The recoil is extremely manageable, and the clip size is large enough to take out up to 3 guys if you aim carefully.

This is my favorite combo too! but did they nerf this gun? it seems a little weaker to me.

i think what you might be noticing is that in one of DICE's patches they made it so that at long ranges in order to hit your target you need burst fire instead of being able to full auto. when they first implemented that i thought they had nerfed the weapon too, but as far i know, the only assault rifles they've nerfed are the g3 and f2000. i could be wrong though :)
