  • The chuurch scene is one of the most moving moments in cinematic history.

  • The church scene is without a doubt one of the most incredible movie scenes I have ever seen !!!!!

  • Jackie Gleason Needs NO WORDS to be the GREATEST!!!! I saw this movie when I was 15 years old! I'm now 52! I never forgot have much I loved his acting as Gigot!

Thany you for Posting this movie.....

  • God blessed you and rest in peace, Gigot...I mean Jackie---HA! HA! HA!!!

  • As a lifelong Catholic, I love this flick; with the allegations of child abuses and mockings all that is hollied in today's movies, this movie is very worth watching!

  • When he removes the little girl's rain-soaked socks, wipes off her wet face and covers her with ragged cloth. . . when Jackie looks into the Camera. It just kills me everytime I see it. It made me weep as a little boy when I first saw it and it makes me weep even today.

Gleason was a genius. A pure genius.

  • Thank You very much for posting one of my all time favorites.Jackie Gleason wrote and directed this movie and wrote all the music. He also had the church that is in the movie built at a great expense and to the studio's dismay but He was the Great One and got his way.Never speaks a word but his facial expressions convey all. Thanks again

  • Jackie Gleason is probably the only performer who could combine his own personality with his acting ability and deliver such monumental results.

I saw this film for the first time at age 13 and have never forgotten it. A stellar example of what the Internet can bring--Gigot to the masses.

  • thanks for posting a great movie

  • Gleason's pinnacle moment was his straining to make the girl understand about God and Christ. His flagellating himself to force his voice to start made me weep as a child.

  • so much of this movie when i saw this a child remained with me -- and I too cried at this part
