  • I'd like to buy a download ~ I sent a message to your inbox.

  • Magnificent! The song is delicate, deep, and resonates with mystery. We listened to many other arrangements and none evoked the rare balance and allure that yours does. The awesome landscapes do as much for the eye as the music does for the ear.

  • ............???????

  • Thank you so much for uploading this, cause the cello is really one of the less known insterments. I play the cello. Can you give me the music to this, cause i want ot learn it.

  • @devils1604 cello is not well known? Play a song in a Violist's feet. Yeah viola is even less known than cello. AND THE VIOLA CAME FIRST! BEFORE THE VIOLIN! lolz.

  • @guyugkuyg Aren't we all just mimics from the gembe?

  • i love marybeth

  • I don't like it because it is too short

  • Cello is one of the best sounding instruments out there..... this song sounds so wonderful with cello. The classical guitar in the back ground just makes the whole experience amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this. I can listen to it over and over and never get board!

  • @Silversnapdragon I thing that any instrument in a string orchestra is beautiful

  • I'm 90% sure that's a double bass, not a cello. It's beautiful, though.

  • @noahlittlejohn It is a cello. I think the chords he plays when the guitar is playing the melody makes it sound like a double bass, but it is a cello. Glad you like it. =) - Julian

  • @Valdinijo Ok, thank you for clarifying. The particular tone this cellist achieves is very similar to that of double bass, which makes me think he must be playing very high on the G string when he goes into that upper register. It's an unusual choice, but it does add depth and passion to the sound, not to mention it makes for some very tricky shifting.

  • @noahlittlejohn I played most of the second part on the A-string, nothing fancy going on there :P

Although I use a french bridge, that might be part of the reason it sounds so steely. Glad you like it! :)

  • @esbentind Thank you for your input! I wouldn't say steely... It just has a very bassy quality.

    Bravo on a fine performance!

  • @noahlittlejohn yeah its on the lowest string of the cello, for the melody, i personally would have used the higher strings, but its still nice, later in the song its more apperant that its a cello :)

  • @noahlittlejohn i'm pretty sure its a cello cuz i dont know if a bass could go that high on the second chorus part.

  • @MintChocChip100 A good bassist can hit those notes. Every bowed part in this still sounds like a bass to me... But Esben Tind himself confirmed it's his cello, and I guess he would know. :D

  • MAGNIFICO !!!!

    Bravo !

  • love marybeth

  • i love marybeth

  • @1hanamoon who the heck is that?

  • Made me cry....

  • Love it! :)

  • super super like.. M gonna listen to this sweet lullaby every night before i sleep.

As fresh as a morning rose..!!

  • So much emotion and effort that makes for a beautiful and excellently crafted masterpiece.........

  • @Acousterra Julian sure uses socks, but not for that AFAIK :S ~Esben

  • This was really good, well done :)

  • This is absolutely beautiful, and as a cellist I know the cellist who plays this is extremely talented. To get that level of emotion and maturity into such simple music is very challenging, and carried off flawlessly. This piece of music is haunting and beautiful, definitely my favourite version I've heard.

  • @pazzadders i agree.

PS, i just thought i had to mention i play the violin.

  • hanamoon

  • @Acousterra : I never thought of that... thanks

  • based on what I'm hearing....

    it's nylon

  • hello valdinjo! i hope you won't mind if i use this music as my accompaniment for my recording. i promise to post a video response. and i also promise to acknowledge the guitarist and the cellist. thank you!
