Its not enough to just have them take the shahadah and send them off with a copy of the quran and a few video tapes.
Someone actually has to be there to teach them the salat, the rules of Zakat, Halal and Haram etc. Otherwise its pointless to have them convert.

As a Christian I believe that you need to give respect in order to get respect.
