Also, that period marked the real beginning of the Investment Banks(ters), corporate "buyouts" "takeovers", and "leveraging" entered into the common lexicon. Let's see how all that worked out. Let's see. We have Financial SERVICES, insurance SERVICES, legal SERVICES, medical SERVICES, and on & on. But where's the PRODUCTION and MANUFACTURING part of the economy?
