Well actually the Phick affair is one of the things that got me into watching Y&R. At first I was like "okay, they had affair". So I watched to see how far they took it & here we are almost 3 years later & kinda @ the same place we were with Phick only this time its with Shick... as ppl call them.

Starting with 5:19 - watch these 45 to 50 seconds, and you'll see why Phyllis/Nick/Sharon and baby Summer is a remake of Phyllis/Danny/Christine and baby Daniel . . . but with a more interesting couple (Nick & Sharon).
This is why I think viewers should stop getting any idea that Summer is really Jack's. Nick wouldn't lie about this because he wanted to be back with Sharon and if he did lie, he purposely ruined his chances of reuniting with Sharon.

I understand the break up and taking the characters into new directions, but they went through all this trouble and it wasn't even worth it. Now they're scrambling around trying to fix it.
It's always has been and always will be about Shick. Do you really think that the break up was about Phick? Hell no! It was all about seeing Shick split and find their way back to each other. Sorry Phyllis was used merely as a prop for Shick's love story.

Y&R rules for bringing people back from the grave: If the viewer saw the person die "on screen" then they're dead as a doorknob. If the viewer does NOT see the person die on screen, then there's a good chance we might see that person some day. That way, we don't have to suspend disbelief because the door had ALWAYS been plausibly left open.

It's because the person's not really dead (ala Dru, Bobby Marcino, Adam, Malcolm, and the list goes on and on). It may take 1 month, 5 years, or 100 years, but that person will eventually rise from the ashes.

I think that Brad was more in love with Sharon than Sharon was for him, Brad was there to pick her up when she was most vulnerable. It was a shame that the writers didn't let these two get together they would have made a nice couple instead of Sharon & Jack.

Yeah i know what you mean about the serial cheating thing, but at least they dealt with it, forgave each other and moved on. That's what married people do.I think the reason she couldn't forgive him was because the affair happened while she was dealing with Cassie's death all alone, Nick wanted to stay with her out of what looked to her to be obligation and Phyllis ended up pregnant. Granted I only know about Nick & Sharon's extra marital affairs through my mom & grandma, since I only started watching Y&R 3 years ago, when I saw the episode where Nick returned from the "dead" & kissed Sharon, something told me that they were gonna get back together.
I mean I understand about their daughter dying & that is tragic, but I still thought that they should've never split up in the first place. BTW, I started watching during the Phick affair.

Yeah know what you mean... since Nick "died" and returned with amnesia, Phick has not been the same as before. It's been gradual of course but you can see the effect of Nick and Sharon's close relationship on that marriage. A lot of people feel that way about them splitting up after Cassie died,didn't know that until i started watching online and saw people's comments. During the Phick affair hmm, what were your reactions? Interesting that the kiss scene that told you they'd be back together :D

Well actually the Phick affair is one of the things that got me into watching Y&R. At first I was like "okay, they had affair". So I watched to see how far they took it & here we are almost 3 years later & kinda @ the same place we were with Phick only this time its with Shick... as ppl call them.
