A beautiful song for a wonderful man i'm 44 and it's remember me when i was young listen to JD, Echo and the bunnymen, Clash, ...What a sheat music now Please come all again from Paradise for our pleasure So Hello from france and sorry for my bad english
Excuse me for my bad English and French are not good for languagesbut hopefully understand you
Ian Curtis has traveled beyond the mirror, we opening the doors of perception lea, unveiled another reality, the hidden face of our fears, our vanity, all the horror of hypocrisy that leads too often our lives. No one can escape unscathed from this odyssey, he went. It will remain for me one who brought me enlightenment
I will be honest. No role model has influenced me in Music than Ian Curtis.
The man was talent that for 31 years has sadly missed. (sigh) it really is a devastating shame that he died in a horrific way. But regardless of way he died , we miss you Ian but as long as u have peace and are at peace and no more suffering then that is all that matters. Rest In Peace Ian Curtis and may Allah Guide u In Paradise.

Maybe it was good for music that he killed himself. The guy couldn't sing at all after all and Joy Division were just shit. But because he killed himself everyone thinks they were awesome, but at the time everyone considered them a third rate joke band.
It's also funny to see those bandmates work hard to play a simple song, after all it's just a drum beat, a baseline and a one-finger synthesizer and that's it. They were piss poor musicians.
@holyshititsme maybe you should kill yourself but you will be too scared because your scared of an abcess!!!!!!!! yes folks shes worried about an abcess, check out her page, shes trailer trash !!!!!!!!

Hey, guys, I just uploaded Ian Curtis Tribute Video on my channel. It`s just final part of the movie called Control. I thought it was a very touching scene So, I hope you`re gonna like it.
@girlie347 get a grip. I suppose you're an excellent musician yourself yes? No. Joy Division were and remain one of the most influential bands in British music that defined a whole decade and movement with a new sound and haunting melodies and lyrics. Just because you don't understand it, don't write it off.
Comments like that are what make the British chart what it is today... Terrible.
Why write the comment if you don't 'appreciate it' shall we say?

One point Jbrown failed to look at...Ian was mentally screwed up with all the meds he was on and he wasnt thinking clearly, but in some respects its probably no excuse
this is why as a lifelong JD fan (i'm 44) i have not watched control, i love the music and don't wanna see inside their personal lives, his wife is entitled to tell her story and i am entitled to not get involved.. but as a parent i have some simpathy with what jbrown says... life is tough and when things r tough and i feel like throwing a seven, i look at my 7 year old son and i know i have no chance but to go on..so i do.
I am also a lifelong JD fan (43 nearly me :). You should watch Control, it didn't go too deep into stuff, I have a new insight and am now wanting more. I also have a 7 yr old. He has his own ipod and listens to the music, I know how u feel
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I understand loving Joy Division's music, but I don't understand the Ian worship. The guy treated his wife horribly. And regardless of whether or not you believe everything Debbie wrote about Ian, his daughter didn't deserve to be abandoned, the guy cheated on his wife, and he was obsessed with gaining the type of worship people are now giving him. Great singer he was, he deserves to be forgotten. He was a d-bag.
I guess there is not talking to Ian Curtis Fanboys/girls. However it wasn't being tortured by what he did to his family that drove him to suicide, it was his own ego. He constantly told his wife and a few others of his wish to die young and be a legend like his hero Jim Morrison, and a few others. You people just fell right into his hands. I like Ian/Joy Division, but just because he's dead he isn't some messiah. Had he lived he would have become cheesy like everybody else in the 80's & 90's
Junky.

I understand your point, but you must remember that we are talking about one of the best writers in the world that touched many souls with his words.
