Anyone who watched this video and said something like; "Stick framing is dumb" doesn't have a clue. Stick vs. box or 'deck' framing doesn't change the integrity (OR STRENGTH) of the build. It's only a time issue. And if you have the time, or if you're a one man show, then stick framing works just fine. Millions of homes in America were stick framed. And most of em' are still standing.

Stick Framing is second dumbest(Nailing your bottom green plate's down first then standing the wall and toenailing the studs down to it). Box framing is the fastest, smartest way to frame Walls, Nail studs to both the bottom and top plates before standing the wall up. Frame the entire window and door openings first, then fill in studs. Do it all on the ground, then stand it.

dumb and slow, but I know...
a lot of guys my age who are always in pain because they try to lift too much. This was just the easiest way for me to avoid constant back aches.
