Don't get the Otis flex cable kit if you have an airgun that uses a magazine/clip like the AirArms 410 or Crosman Marauder rifle or pistol. The breech opening on these guns are narrow and the brass end (patch holder) on the flex cable is too long, there isn't enough room for it to curve into the breech or come out if your going the other way. Works great on break barrels though.
your right people have to be careful of riffled crown at top of barrel. i use a cotton rope with knots every inch. the knots act as the sweepers, and what i do is pull up and down really fast keeping knots in the barrel, since there is dozens of knots the barrel it will get clean with out feeding in for every one pull. i know one guy who uses a 10ft secting for one time clean. the handle you have is cool, i will have to find one for my long knotted rope.
It's either way because you are pulling thru. I noticed when I go the other way on some airguns..the crown is so sharp that it shaves some of the coating off the crown saver's rubber coating. I did it this way because my Xocet has a moderator and I used a drinking straw to start off and help guide soft string and not get it stuck in the chamber.
haha VERY cool. i'll have to search for that... that certainly beats them damn brass 3-pc rods that most people (including me) stuff into our guns. where can you get one?
from my quick search..Mac1 and Airguns of Arizona. These things btw do last...I also use them on rimfires because they generally do not need any brushes. I only clean when the accuracy goes sour.
ur pulling it through the wrong way u pull it through the same way the pellet goes..

@mrrabbiteye this particular rifle has baffles...it's not as easy going the opposite direction

@shield400 for shrouded barrels, I use a straw...This Xocet does have a "chamber" so I used a straw first to get the crownsaver through.
