LOL i feel bad for Singapore airlines. Never buy the very first model of anything. There are just so many bugs and kinks to work out. I wouldn't be surprised if Airbus release a lot of Service bulletins in the year after. At least based on the delay of the delivery, it tells me they tried to work out as many bugs as they can.

They had a lot of time during 2year delays to find and fix most bugs.The plane will be more mature then most developments.

The reliability at SA is about 97%.

If you think the A380 is a expensive disaster look at the 787 program. Besides the longer planned A380 version A380-900 with new engines will set new records in terms of fuel efficiency. Even a BWB would have problems to compete against it.
