  • turn 0 win. what's the point of playing? LOLOLOL i rather draft or EDH.

  • Trying to follow the combo, but the picture quality is a little difficult. Care to explain?

  • @mhartsfi Going second, Gemstone Cavern comes into play for free (he exiles a summoning pact). Exile a Simian Spirit Guide for 1 red mana. Cast the second Summoning pact in his hand to get a protean hulk. Tap gemstone Cavern and use the red from spirit guide to cast flash. Put into play a protean hulk. Hulk dies. He searches his library for 4 disciples of the vault an archbound ravager and 5 zero cost dudes. Sac 5 dudes to ravager. each disciple triggers 5 times for 20 damage.

  • this just seems like it would take the fun out of the game

  • yeah.... aren't there rules like no more than 4 of every kind?

  • @Jevgein Those were triggers from Disciple of the Vault, not extra copies of him.

  • its not a turn 0 kill. in order to flash you must have priority. it doesnt happen until the upkeep of turn 1. ^^ just correting.

  • I love combo

  • this is dumb as hell, this is unfair bullshit like the splitter twin infinite combo

  • @lukesta12

    dismember

    spell pierce

    give exarch pro red.

    easy fix

  • @claythearc

The other guy didn't have any land so that would have been impossible right?

  • Nobody has to use brainpower anymore. Just look shit up on the internet and build it the same. Not that that is bad, but it still just disproves any defense of this being sportsmanlike or in the TRUE spirit of the game. There was no duel, just spooge.

  • im not sure if this is true but i was told that you could not win turn zero cause you dont have pryority until your upkeep. there for you cant activate abilitys, but if thats not true please fill free to tell me diffrently. well have a good night every one

  • @Lordphantoma Upkeep during your first turn is considered by many people to be a turn 0 win as it is before any sorcery speed spell can be played.

  • @Lordphantoma , Any time an opponent asks you if you would like to respond, or do anything before change of phase that means you have priority. This is what passing priority is about. If you could not do anything until your upkeep you would not be able to play Force of WIll or any other 0 cost spell like Mental Misstep...

  • and then i play FoW

  • i love it when boxing matches end in the first punch so much enjoyment for the players and the crowd

  • Is it just me or does this defeat the purpose of playing Magic?

  • @xXHeroXx777official It totally does break magic, but its not like its a completely likely hand anyway. 2 of the staples of the combo are restricted to 1 each. And I think its only a threat to Vintage, in which case vintage can handle it.

  • @xXHeroXx777official , Id say that at its core this is what Magic is all about. Interaction of cards to achieve a purpose... that purpose is to win.

  • @krazykidpsx If you're referring to the video. You're an idiot if you believe it took any amount of brain power to create the deck(easy to google) or to win with it. Any whatsoever.

  • @RedCatalyst Quick to insult aren't you... you do realize, SOMEBODY had to put 2 and 2 together to make 4 right? but i guess, it doesnt take ANY brain power and it just came to every players mind the instance that R&D made mention that they were changing the wording on Flash. Prior to this, FLASH HULK DIDNT EXIST!, it is the first deck in the history of the game to have its pieces prohibited at the end of a grand prix. Columbus Grand Prix 07, fastest grand prix in magic.

  • @krazykidpsx Your analogy says it all. You tried to defend your logic by retorting with "SOMEBODY had to put 2 and 2 together to make 4 right?"

Inevitability does not directly correlate to skill or brain power. The same can be said about first grade math...

  • @RedCatalyst just an fyi, having somebody conclude 2+2=4 is brain power.

  • @krazykidpsx My ultimate goal of magic is to have fun, and there ain't a thing fun about this. I mean I'm just saying haha

  • I thought you could only have a max of 4 of any 1 card?

  • what a dick

  • Next time don't use music.

  • i liked berzerked bloodlust ball lightning better : /

  • What magic game is this is it free or no?

  • @xSgtGigglesx MTGO, which is not completely free...

  • hulk flash will be missed

  • Yes reason why i only play standard!

  • @Redvexer

You can't even play this deck anymore, as the cards have all been banned or restricted. This deck rarely won on turn zero or even at all. You should play vintage, as it is the best format.

  • Force of will makes you cry though

  • @jowzer read force of will please...

  • your faggot music ruined the vid

  • @LukeLegere the music made me want to quit magic forever.

  • @LukeLegere who gives a crap.

  • that guy must have been like what the fuck

  • ...I'm new to magic. What game is this and how much does it cost?

  • @VirginElite i belive its magic the gathering online and ive never played so not sure on the cost

  • The goal for ANYONE playing MtG and running a combo deck is to play a game of solitaire.

  • For tournament Yes / For casual NO!

  • There's a lot of major flaws here, one being that you can only have 4 of each card except basic lands.

  • to bad this deck is banned eh?

  • can someone tell me where i can get this program

  • OMG, sorry for beeing noob, but what program is this? i want it!

  • @uTubeChangedMyLife

Magic Online.. Google it, you can play the trial for free with the constructed decks.

  • I think people who question this need to question the aim of the game - to win. Sure, fun may be a point of argument but not in tournaments.

  • decklist/explanation of the combo off? I am gonna go out on a limb and assume this is vintage legality.

  • flash in protean hulk. He dies since you can't pay the cost. Go find 4 disciple of the vault and 8 of the X casting cost artifact creatures. They all die when they come into play, dealing 32 damage to your opponent. This is why flash is restricted in vintage.

  • @blondbearde yup finding those creatures is hard though as far as I know phyrexian marauder and shifting wall are the only ones.

  • @amalek0rs who cares about legality? cards are cards. I only worry about that in tournaments.

  • @Luigi84289 u cant play this at any tournament since at least flash is banned

  • lol, its not sad play magic online, i think that its more comfort to play in home. even though i rather play with real cards, its all different in my opinions, you can do many things that you cant do when you play it by online

  • dont understand why people buy virtual cards that have no value...just use workstation and do the same shit for free

  • Partially because of the community, partially because it is the official source, partially because the rules of magic are programmed in so you cannot cheat and can learn how exactly each spell actually works, and lastly because you can qualify for real Magic events via on-line events.

  • Wow!!! It has been 100000 ppls to watch this instant kill!! Thanks all for your support!!

  • YU GI OHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @smpsnowman hell yeah

  • whts tht song called

  • i can even tell what the combo is cause i cant see the cards lol

  • Basically, the guy flashes in a creature that dies off instantly. When that happens you can search your deck for creatures for a total mana converted cost of 6. Then he drops 4 guys (cost 1 for each) that when an artifact dies opponent loses 1 life, stacks the effect, then uses the remaining 2 mana cost to search his deck and grab X cost artifact creatures. He doesn't pay the X so they die, doing 32 damage instantly. Fuuun.

  • hey ya i got it like 20 mins after lol but a bit of an issue here....flash=banned lol thanks though

  • It's restricted to 1 as of now. Also, this was made in 2007.

  • is this magic online

  • Yes

  • Is magic online free and where do I download it?

  • it is not free you have to buy packs just like the physical game.

  • i believe there's a monthly subscription, but if you google it you will find it

  • There is no monthly fee. You have to pay $10 to create an account, but you get about 300 cards and a booster pack for the $10. Afterwards, it's entirely up to you how you pay/play. I recommend playing Pauper, which is deck construction with the only restriction being commons-only. Very cheap to get into (< $10 for a really competitive deck). You can buy online tix (which are just credits) which can be used to buy packs, or better, individual cards. MTGO is much cheaper than paper MTG.

  • ...and sometimes its harder to play the physical game

  • Agreed. That's why I've dropped paper magic almost entirely. Closest place is 45 mins away and it's all kiddies, and the TO is an ass-hat. Next closest is terrific, but it's 2 hours away. Not a chance. So I do the pre-releases (4 a year) and that's it. If you sell what you open during the pre-release, you break even and have fun playing. If you do well (I went 5-0 last time) you make money. I've spent 30 tix max on MTGO which was paid for by MTG PR's. Zero-cost hobbies for the win!

  • o yeah thats far away. i play at a card shop about 1.7 miles from my house.

  • but you dont have any cards physically. that is pretty sad.

  • So my options are to: (1) not play, (2) play

I enjoy MTG, so I am willing to spend the 30 or so a month for drafting. I get to play a lot more drafts than paper because the payout is better online.

And besides ... define sad? You think it's sad to pay for something where you get no physical object? What about iTunes or renting a movie, etc.. where there is no physically permanent form of the item you're buying? You get enjoyment, end of story.

Besides, in MTG you pay big money for.... paper.

  • I agree playing MTG online isn't sad at all. In fact its pretty smart. Think about it you buy virtual cards and you can get a game whenever you want its awesome. You buy real cards and you have to drive to the local card shop if there even is one and then play then drive home plus you have a ton of cards you don't want or even use.

  • Yep. I want to play in whatever format is reasonable. If online is the format, then so be it. If I could choose, I would play paper magic, but only if I could walk to the gaming and store and provided the people there were fun and challenging. Like I said, I'm not going to drive 45 mins to play against a bunch of kids! MTGO is popular among pros as it gives one to chance to hone skills at at time of day. Anyway, to each his or her own! I'm glad I still have the chance to play the game I love.

  • @Breckenhick

You lose out on the interaction and environment though!

  • @freshandlegal yeah but you win on the 1st turn!

  • @kdko When you think about it, the physical cards have no value other than the value given to them by the community for a set of imaginary attributes. A rectangle of the card paper they use is technically worth almost nothing, but when you print a Black Lotus face on it the community decides it is now worth thousands of dollars. The value of the cards, virtual or physical, is all relative.

  • Wall Street is no different.

  • wizards,com

  • Nope magic has been around way longer than both of those, ederon and duel masters is a unfusion of magic.

  • . . .Magic is the original card game. It's not a fusion of anything.

  • ha! Duel Masters was originally a Japanese Tv series where the played Magic. Th Us or Uk or whatever changed it to Duel Masters for the English version, allowing WOTC to sell yet another TCG

  • Wow you are really stupid Magic The Gathering started in 1993 and was no spin off of anything it was one of the very first card games to ever be released and was exclusively in North America until 1996.

  • I never said magic was a spin off! I know its the original!

I said dueal masters the tcg is a spin off of magic, so sorry if it was difficult to understand what i meant

  • @stager87 ... Sorry, this is not really true ... in Germany you can play MtG since 1994. The oldest cards in German are from 1994. (Call -> "Deutsch limitiert")

  • idk much about magic online

the only thing i know is, that you have to pay 10 $ to create an account.

but as soon as you have an account... can you just win cards, or do you really have to buy them??

  • You buy them, but you can buy only what you need to build the deck you want. Also, the US$10 you spent are "refunded" in some way, because you get a coupon which you can use to buy some tickets to get single cards or boosters.

  • ya u gotta pay full price for a booster pack. but if u collect a complete online set, u can trade that for a real one.

  • how much money have you spent on mtg online

  • Just as much as the real game.

  • lolllllll

  • ok the guy is good but its not fun to play because you win everytime and always do the same thing or almost everytime you got to get bored of it someday

  • @smartassmarie9014 It is usually fun the 1st time, as I played a guy using the Tolarian Academy, and Brain Freeze combo, but playing combos like this repeatedly is just boring.

  • I don't understand the purpose of this.

A play of this sort is nothing more than masturbation. The opponent might as well not even be there / it is not a game if you're just playing with yourself.

  • @mdiem Thankfully, Force of Will says no to this sort of business.

  • @mdiem The opponent could just FoW him, and make him kiss his combo goodbye.

  • Duh, you're playing the bad version and think that's so badass.

  • lol. Right when this deck was made, wizards banned hulk and disiple, which was the deck.

This is most likely the greatest deck ever created. so mean and ever so reliable.

  • what is the card at 0.24

  • disiple of the vault i think

  • it is

  • That's just as bad as a kick in the pants, lol. Decklist?

  • dont bother. you cant use it anywhere.

  • just because you cant play it anywhere doesnt mean you cant torture all ur friends with it in casual play.

  • doesn't mean you can afford the combo, if your just buying it to piss off your buddies, it's a waste of money

  • why buy anything?

  • thats why whats his name (the black creature guy from Morodin) was banned from Extended

  • I'm so glad this deck got banned in Legacy.

  • where i can download that game on pc?

  • Go to magicthegathering(.)com, click "Continue to the magic main page" then click "Digital Games", click "Magic Online: Download Now!" and then click the here in "You can download Magic Online III here." and you start downloading it.

I will tell you now, it is a kinda long download, and it costs 10$ to make an account on it, but that's the only time you'll ever have to pay, unless you want to buy cards with RL money.

IMO, worth it, so you can duel anyone anytime.

    -DefensorsPacis

  • That doesn't work. If you sacrifice Mossbridge Troll, it doesn't get to regenerate. Sacrificing a creature is different than destroying it.

  • nope, since the wording for flash has been changed, it now reads "choose a creature in your hand, pay that creatures casting cost to put it into play or if you dont pay it goes into the graveyard

  • Alnother good combo is Quillspike, Devoted Druid, and then I found out using Rite of Consumption will give you an easy win.

If you don't know the cards, ot don't know the effects, check them out on the gatherer on MagicTheGathering(.)com.

No, I am not an employee, I just love MTG so much, I praticly advertise them.

Hell, I got about 7 of my friends to start playing.

    xD

  • Yeah, I know that combo also a good combo is Daru Spiritualist + Shuko + Condemn = as much life as you want.

  • the lamest combo ever. is it a combo at all

  • Your are killing your opponent before your turn one, therefore it's turn zero kill for you. turn one lose for your opponent.

  • whoa !! im totally lost on how in gods name he did that

  • whyfor do i keep seeing this deck with disciples? you have to run like a thousand cards that don't help you go off. slivers is infinitely better

  • And lark/body double/mogg fanatic is better than that... seeing as you need another turn to win... oops, pact of negation upkeep!

But yeah, it's hardly viable right now, with all the restrictions.

  • pact of negation next upkeep ur dead ;D

  • Too bad they restricted Flash along with Brain storm Merchant Scroll in T1 for this deck.

  • you forgot to wraith b4 using pacts

  • that's my mistake......I should use that

  • Why?

His hand was good enough to go off, he only could have risked drawing a Disciple and gained nothing.

  • The land played was Gemstone Caverns, which comes into as soon as the game starts if it is on your Opening Hand, therefore you can have a land on turn 0, basicly during the first upkeep of the game, where you can only play instant effects, too bad flash was restricted on Vintage, still have one though :)

  • i know that land duh, but this still isnt a turn 0 win and besides flash has a word change. You choose the creature card, optionally pay its mana cost, then put it into play if you paid the cost or into the graveyard if you didn't. All this happens during the resolution. [DeLaney 2000/03/31]

    # The "If you don't" text applies to the choice to pay (second sentence) and not to the putting of the card into play (third sentence).

  • what kind of computer sytems are you all using? I formatted my drive and with mtgo bueng the only sinlge program first installed its kicking my computer's ass. 2ghz with 256ram. Or is mtgo unstable? Half my games freeze. And it lags with dsl

  • Can't be done on turn zero. As you need to go second to benefit from the mine your opponent will go first.

Instants/Abilities can only be activated when you have priority.

The first time you get priority if going second is during your opponents FIRST turn, during their upkeep.

(The mine and a few others do allow you to place them before the game starts though - but you can't use any instants until someones upkeep phase).

  • you are write! you are a classic man hehe

  • @Jaggrh I was going to say this too. This is not a turn 0 kill, whether it is your first turn or their first turn, it is still turn 1.

  • @Jaggrh its called a turn zero kill because YOU never take your turn

i know u cant really have a zero'th turn (i dont think thats a word), but thats just what its called

  • 60,000 hits achieved!!!!!

  • che merda de musica

  • Ma mi piace che la musica

  • nah, i meant i didnt realize they were available on mtgo, however i did the research and retract my statement

  • not sure how you got a hold of all those cards on mtgo...

  • buying the cards from cardbots :)

  • what's this program??

it isn't a magic workstaion! Oo

  • which programm is that i i ownload it anywhere

  • Magic Online.

  • the rest of the cards is instaces*

  • i have to ask something if i see right you use gemstone carvens to get the blue mana but on the card its says that it coud only give "a mana of any colure" if your not playing first then who come your oponent has no cards in play?

  • ooh i did look it up and i now se you begin with the card in play and the rest of the cards is in play im sorry my bad

  • Hulk flash win on turn 0! You asshole. ;)

  • 50,000 hits!!! Thanks all for supporting this video.

  • gratz

  • hey i got a question. Protean Hulk doesnt come into play once u didnt pay the mana cost. He wasnt put on a graveyard from play, RIGHT ??? It's like he was countered.... am I wrong?

  • the card says bury it so u shud put it intro graveyeard frome play its not like its countred

  • that's why flash is banned in paper

  • sac summoner's pact , gemstone to add blue, sac simian spirit guide, sac summoner's pact, bring out protean hulk, play flash(remember 1 blue 1 red in mana pool), put protean hulk in play, put protean hulk in graveyard, put 4xdisciple of the vault, arcbound ravager, 3xpyrexian walker, 3xpyrexian marauder in to play, sac 3xpyrexian marauder and 3x pyrexian walker, deal 24 damage, win game!

  • I assume this is the deck list: 4xFlash, 4xProtean Hulk, 4xDisciple of the Vault, 4xSimian Spirit Guide, 4xStreet Wraith, 4xSummoner's Pact, 4xArcbound Ravager, 4xPyrexian Marauder, 4xPyrexian Walker, Gemstone Caverns and other lands. These are the cards shown in the video.

  • I have a question. If I were to buy MTGO right now, would I get MTGO v3 for free when it comes out? Or would I have to buy that? And also, would all my cards transfer to version 3 or would I have to buy all new cards?

  • it's free to download, and all your v2 cards will be transferred to v3.0

  • what program is that? MWS? or MTGO?

  • MTGO 2.5

  • I would hate to be beaten by a combo like that, but on the other hand I would love to just to see it in action.

I couldn't tell but what was your opening hand?

  • I have mulligan once, so I have six cards in hand, including:

    2 Pack of Green

    1 Gemstone Cavern

    1 Flash

    1 Red Mana Monkey

1 Black zombie (cycle to draw card)

  • so someone please explain this combo to me, u play the hulk with flash and sac it and get 4 disciples and what else thats about as much as i got ... and how do u get flash out when it cost two to play?

  • he searches for a ravager and then a bunch of 0 costing artifact creatures and sacs them to it they take a butt load of direct damage from the disciples

he removed a spirit guide from his hand to generate one red mana and then he used it with gemstone mine

  • jedi1josh has a video to walk you through it

  • no, he plays gemstone cavern and taps for blue, discards that elf (or timespiral goblin) for another either green or red, then plays flash getting out protean hulk, then having to sac that getting out any number of creatures with total cost 6 or less, then he gets out 4 diciples and a buch of x to cast toughness = x artifacts, they die dealing a total of 36 damage before your opponent even draws

  • exactly what i said

  • what song is that?

  • I forgot .... how can I find it?

  • drownding pool - The things i loved

  • This is why they banned it. Hulk Flash was insane.

  • no offense but that was cheap haha

  • the card price is really expansive, though :)

  • Ahahaha, Flash.

  • Description of what you did would help, im not hugely familiar with MTGO, and seeing alot more then 4 Disciples puzzles me. Just a description in your side comment would help greatly.
