Are you kidding me? This was fantastic. Everything Bill threw at Dave, Dave dished it back. Vintage Letterman. Plus Bill Murray has been there for every big Letterman moment. He was on Dave's last Late Night, first Late Show, I'm pretty sure first show Dave had after his heart surgery. Where there's Dave there's Bill. AND I'm pretty sure he never went on Leno. Dave faithful!
@brewer921 My mistake, but that doesn't really change my point. As for Tom Hanks, it's funny how he was on both David Letterman's and Conan O'Brien's last shows on NBC.
@bobolob He wasn't on the last late night episode; Tom Hanks was as a guest and Bruce Springsteen surprised the show by performing at the end of the episode.
was this david's first interview ever?

Bill Murray, and the roots of Chris Elliott's Guy Under the Seats (and alittle bit of Mr. Conspiracy to boot).

gotta love Bill Murray. i read an recent article where it said Bill was hiding in a soundstage before the interview just to make Dave nervous lol.

It's weird hearing Letterman with a tiny audience, hearing individual people unlike the big Ed Sullivan Theater crowd.

Man! Letterman and Murray BOTH younger than me!
(I missed this show, but I remember my friend telling me about it).

I can't believe how nervous Dave was. He kind of attacks Bill for no reason too. (Do you find it harder to be funny)
hunyghan 4 years ago
That wasn't an attack. It's part of the act he and Bill put together.
