  • i got this on cd! (buckingham nicks) and also the cathouse blues demo's. is anyone interested in them? i want to give them a good home.

  • Gosh i have not heard this song for SOO long, makes me want to go into an induced coma of just Stevie and Lindsay <3 <3

  • Thanks for those that have bought the CD from me at blalocksgaragemusic

The CD contains the entire album remastered and unreleased studio and live tunes from 1973. Over 73 minutes of music!

  • I wish I could find this album...It is quite awesome...

  • DId anyone know that Stevie's current guitarist since the beginning of her solo career Waddy Wachtel played on the Buckingham Nicks album?

  • @lilrockercutie2005 Oh that rocks...I didn't know he went that far back...Waddy is one of those awesome guitarists who never make the great guitarist lists...just like Ace Frehley and Nuno Bettencourt.

  • I can't believe I found this! I was maybe 16-17...? And yes, Lindsey is absolutely at his best on this lp. Some of the guitar work he did on this record cannot be duplicated...he is truly unmatchable! And they were such a harmonious pair!!!

  • Yes Buckingham Nicks was truly a great album and one of my favorites of all times!! This is so amazing!!! LOVE IT!!!!

  • This song really shows her voice...incredible!

  • You can download this album for free on many sites or buy a nice CD with the original album plus all the unreleased studio and live tracks with a nice cover and all at blalocksgaragemusic on the web.

  • @dablalock thanks, just bought it :)

  • A relatively unknown album but some of the best ever.

  • amazing album i have the album burend it on a casette, later a cd and now on ipod.

    classic for 38 yrs

  • Iin response to 'this is why Mr Fleetwoodasked B\N to join his band is FALSE......actually Mick only wanted LINDSEY(because they needed a guitarist)....but he wouldn't join F.M. unless they took Stevie too!!!! GREAT call!!!! KUDOS!!!!!

  • @6861dreamer

That's the story I had always heard as well but a British documentary, Fleetwood Mac: Unbroken Chain (2004), made the opposite claim: that Fleetwood wanted Nicks and only took Buckingham since he was part of the package.

  • Great tune Stevie at her very best!!!

  • Pure magic...sends shivers up my spine....just gorrrrgeous....love love love Stevie soooo much

  • i just love stevie's voice. but they are awesome together.

  • Love Stevie Nicks she so love her music still. Totally beautiful. Love this!!!

  • I love this album. I was dating the first time I heard it. Needless to say it had a lasting effect, I am still with him 30 years later.

  • Here's why Mr. Fleetwood called B&N to join his band.

  • WOW

  • Like many, I had multiple copies of this album. we were bummed when they joined Fleetwood Mac. they were big in phoenix because Stevie had ties to the valley. Was truly a special, magical album and we all knew it at the time.

  • I've always loved this album. Wish it was on itunes.

  • This album started my love for Stevie and her music! Wow! Blast fom my past!

  • You are right @txeire. In my opinion, joining the Mac was a step down artistically. I know they were a huge hit and made a ton of money, but only a few of the Mac songs were of similar caliber as BN.

  • you will never ever find a better duel harmonizing better than these 2 people ever again!!!

  • Hard to believe this album didn't sell well back in the day and the record company dropped them after this recording. I know B&N own this album now. I think Lindsey's holding up the release. I'm pretty sure Stevie is in favor of releasing it again.

  • Truly a 'Long Distance Winner'......

  • amazing , please re-release this album to educate people, they dont know what they are missing!

  • What an absolutely incredible album....one of my prized LP's..........

  • Ditto!

  • I can remember seeing them live in '73 or '74. Stevie Nick's had hair like a long lion's mane. Lindsey has an almost afro. They were hot!

  • had this album as well.....Loved it...Lindsay Buckingham is one of THE most underrated guitarists of all time....Both of these people had so much talent...never have been able to find this on a CD..and I have tried often over the years...We just had THE BEST MUSIC....!! Beats the crap out there now. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

  • bought this album in the early seventies, wore it out, then purchased a couple of cassettes, those wear too. thanks so much for posting, definitly a CLASSIC, all the songs are great on this LP

  • Lindsey Buckingham does harmony like no one else. That "tallest trees" one destroys me every time.

  • somebody clicked dislike eh they were probably dyslexic

  • Sun flowers and your face fascinate me, you love only the TALLEST trees..

  • I love this picture here of stevie (her hair hot hot hot ) she is a fox here!!!

  • She is still the best. Love her!!!!!!!

  • Yes & I love her...........

  • This is my favorite album. I wore the first one out and had to buy another. Wish I could find it on CD/DVD?

  • The one person who 'disliked' this vid is a loser.

  • I had this album a LONG time ago;sold it to a co-worker who was a really avid fan.Sorry I did;it was the gatefold vinyl, and hearing this brings back good memories. This one was my fave, thanks for putting out here!

  • How in the world does such talent come from this woman? The lyrics & music are soooo extreemely beautiful on this album. It leaves me speechless. Can any1 explain this to me cause Im totally stumped.Jaw-dropping.If I could write just 1 song in the world,it would be this 1.How can lyrics & music fit so well 2gether like this?2 me,this song is the 8th wonder of the world.Perfection at its best. Please you 2,put this out on cd.The whole album.I've been amazed w/this song since I was 11 yrs old. Im 47

  • This is before they joined Fleetwood Mac, go fugure!

  • thank you....your awesome

  • To me Stevie, and Lindsey are 2 seperate beings. But when their music can be heard from anywhere you are, you realize they become one being, musically.

  • flawless and classic..as always

  • Love the music . Love the woman who crated. love the words to create. Love you Sevie

  • Love it. Girl band cover of landslide: way cool, ubersite.com/m/124616

  • They need to re-release this Buckingham Nicks album.

  • @shan1107 gosh i wish they would, they should re-issue it. i would be first in line to buy it ... LONG LIVE STEVIE AND LINDSEY !

  • I wish Fleetwood Mac would perform this classic of Lindsey and Stevie. What a concert that would be.!

  • Hail to the QUEEN OF ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is the best I ve ever heard her or Lindsey They should have done more like this together greatest combo really!

  • You love somebody, save their soul. Tie them to your heaven erase their hell. Love the lifestyle if you feel it. Don t try to change them, you never will. Sunflowers and your face fascinate me. You go into the dusty pink day. I come calling onto you but you run. You re the winner, the long distance winner. Stevie Nicks' voice is unique and the lyrics are great. Love the sunflowers too.

  • I LOVE THE SUNFLOWERS IN THE BACKGROUND

  • Yes, I wish more people knew about this album, in fact I own two!!! Each and every song is fabulous! They both were at the top of their game, makes me wonder what would have happened to their love if not for Fleetwood Mac??? Guess it's like an unwanted child, can't go back and still love 'em!

  • whoever shot this album down does not know much about good music and the harmony is just out of this world. Love to have them do this album someday on stage together and put it out on cd. before its to late.

  • I love her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great fu(king album

  • i heard this a few weeks back at someones house. i was like whattt? this album is BETTER than any of their Fleetwood Mac efforts...far BETTER!

  • @txeire I love most Fleetwood Mac (before and after B&N) but this record is absolutely superb. Almost every song on it is a masterpiece. I wish more people knew about it.

  • @johnnydelbravo its one reason almost half the songs became FM songs...agreed, a greAT album, which I remember fondly from my hippe days

  • @johnnydelbravo we do, we are just older & and many did not survive the era (truth). :D Good stuff, huh?

  • @johnnydelbravo

hey...i just heard this song a few days ago and was blown away... the feeling stevie nicks gives me when she sings is just raw emotion...she has such an original unique voice.... anyways what album was this off of....and how can i get it....

  • @mycenth22 The album is called "Buckingham/Nicks" and I don't know how you get it. The last time I had it was in the 70s - on vinyl. It got stolen.

  • @johnnydelbravo someone at an indie record store burned me a copy..that is how i got it....ebay i suppose~

  • @mycenth22 its off the bucking ham nicks LP im not sure if its on cd or not.. check amazon.. but its a gem

  • @txeire Back in the 1970's when I was in the Navy, I purchased this LP and listened. It was the beggining of Fleetwood Mac before Mick Fleetwood. Hence the name. I loved this LP and the music of Stevie and Lyndsey before Mick. Hell he's only a drummer.

  • @mchllemay I hear ya. Fleetwood Mac was pretty good before Buckingham and Nicks joined. They had Christine McVie, Peter Green, Bob Welch and others at one time or another. Fleetwood Mac's Bare Trees album is extremely good. I think you'd like it.

  • @txeire It is indeed!! They were (and still are) amazing.

  • @txeire yes, I know...

  • @txeire Yes, it is! I was really upset, as a teen, when they joined Fleetwood Mac.

  • @txeire lol,I 'discovered' B/N a while after the white album of F.M.'s was released:) Happen to hear this son on the radio one day & said, "Oh, must be a 'new one' by F.M."? WRONG, haha. A friend of mine was like, you 'dork', that's B/N. I said, "Who"?? Yeah, B/N had some really great stuff but it's a shame that it seemed like nobody ever heard of them until after joining F.M. The B/N cover of their most widely known album is just awesome! Love the pic. Stevie said it 'embarassed' here:)

  • @txeire

    hell ya

  • I had the album and tossed it by accident when I moved...arrrrgggghhhh!

  • all the juices were flowing for these two creatively back then,, drives me crazy it's not released on CD still!..! truly a passionate work of art..!

  • I found a new copy of this on cd from ebay..... try there...

  • I found the Buckingham Nicks record in great condition at an old, tiny flea market- too bad I don't have a record player... otherwise, I could listen to this whole album forever. <3

  • I love how Stevie often wove her song lyrics together. Long distance Winner is a line from her beautiful song called Fireflies that was on the fantastic Fleetwood Mac Live album

  • you're the winner...ohhhh yeeahhh!!! you're the winner...

  • I WISH THEY WOULD RELEASE THIS ALBUM ON CD!!!!! Had this on tape (found it at Goodwill) and wore it out :). Could listen to this everyday for years and never get tired of hearing it. Love their harmony together...one of a kind! This song could be released today and still sound fresh and relevant.

  • hey there - if you'd like a CD of the orig. cassette I can do that & mail it ... I still have a old-school CD recorder so I can copy anything. Reasonable fee - let me know!

  • ME TOO. Totally agree with you. Cant find it anywhere but this is great.

  • 'Don't try to change me, you never will.' - so glad Mick and John saw the talent here! Dunno why the Buckingham Nicks album didn't do well... surely it wasn't cos of the music?!

  • Apparently it wasn't promoted properly by the record label :(

  • @catherinef87 it's not a pop record.. executives would never promote a debut album like this back then.. It's a true piece of artwork, and that transcends the marketplace.. just like movies.. most of the really really good ones are never box office smashes.. ya know..?

  • The first time I heard this song and the rest of Buckingham Nicks album, on my Father's cassette of it. I was blown away and enchanted.

    I still am enchanted.

  • I first heare this on Vh1's Behind The Music episode on Fleetwood Mac. I was hooked.

It's obvious why these two were asked to join the band,

  • wish i had that lp

  • I have 2 of them in perfect condition. I bought them from E-Bay. I also have a CD that someone has made and it is a true copy of the original.

  • totally digging this song ... LONG LIVE STEVIE NICKS !

  • this song is amazing; patchouli oil, sunflowers, floppy hats, flowy garments, egy musk, running through fields in the evening, when the sky is blue-pink, amazing!!!
