I really didnt think of this as a fangame, the words, the storyline. It could be big.

Awesome. : ) Well, after I finished Ocean almost two years back, I began working on Deceit x Justice - another RPG, this one dealing with a race of enslaved psychopomps (people who guide the souls of the dead to the other world). @drake147147 Lol, no I didn't. A tiny fangame like this doesn't make any money. I'd only have had a problem I'd tried to sell it, which I didn't.

Fangames would only really get in trouble if they completely ripped off an existing storyline or tried to make money. This was just a little tribute title I made that had an original story, so there was no issue there.

this game is actually impressive such as the characters backround and (btw nice choice of music) the battle images. But try using this with the rpg maker xp. U really can make this into a well sold CD game (hell i would even buy this! ^^)

I tried XP and I didn't like it. I prefer 2003 and VX right now, but VX has so much ~ damn ~ coding required to do anything good, and I don't speak programming code. =(

Congratulations - you've summed up why people who use RPGMaker make garbage games and why you will always fail compared to people who actually do things which require effort. Like making original music. And not ripping off sprites.

On the contrary, I never denied that I lacked programming skill. I just feel that you posting messages about how I apparently "fail" without giving me any kind of constructive criticism whatsoever is incredibly rude. If I saw someone doing something wrong, I would give them advice for how to do it right, not flat-out insult them like you.

As I believe I said before, this game is just something that I made purely for fun and to get some understanding of game making software. That's it.

Ah. Well, I made the game using RPG Maker 2003. There's a new version out called RPG Maker VX out now though. It's pretty good, but requires some knowledge of scripting to get the most out of it. I stick with 2003 though since I've made so much progress with Ocean with it.

You can download a demo of it from filefront. The link's in my channel. You can expect the full game be be finished before the Summer's out. I'm gonna be working on it like crazy over the coming months now that my exams are over.
