Not funny at all, poor airplane and waste of money.

I've always felt a connection to my aircraft / rockets and Heli's and when one of them crashed it was like a failure on my part. I still have aircraft that I built when I was 14 years old - I'm 51 now.

Not fixable??? I have seen and fixed WAY worse damage then that. BUT, nonetheless... I feel your pain... at my old club there were a nice set of power lines 150 - 200 feet off the end of the runway. They've been hit a few times. Good video.

You can repair it..... deliberately break those cracked joints then glue it back with titebond original. Clamp it down. Once repaired, it will be stronger than even the original unbroken wood. It will never crack/break in the same area again. Just like how we repair guitars.

I would love to get into RC planes but im worried they may be a bit hard to fly I think Im going to buy the Walkera V120D06 heli to fly inside since it looks like a nice heli to fly indoors :)

@jackopalkia Start with a Simulator for the Computer. You will pay for it within 3 crashes! For what it is worth I believe that Helicopters are EXPONENTIALLY harder to fly than Planes. Most RC Simulators come with a Dummy transmiter so you can get used to the sticks and, they have Helo and Fixed wing sims. One simulator even has an actual Spektrum DX5 transmitter that caan be used to fly your aircraft once you decide what you want.

@alishanmao Haha, insane! Those power lines are not your average street ones, these are the main lines with voltage who could barbeque you in no time.

The fact that there is a river just beside it is strange too... Not only you get screwed by the lines but if your RC hits it, it might sink to the bottom!

Oh well, I just got my Syma S107g yesterday and I am planning to start this hobby soon. What sort of RC helis you recommend ?

Sorry for your loss. How low are those power lines? I see all those factories around you with the big smoke stacks. How is the air and water quality in your area? Be glad the plane did not go in the water and you were able to save the electronics and motor.

i crashed my PT-40 yesterday i fitted some pontoons on it and was flying it around the lake...ive had the plane since i was 15..so just about 15 years...the aileron servo stripped and stuck in the full LEFT position. been bummed all day :P

And in other news: A large part of China was plunged into darkness today after a mysterious failure in the power grid. Chinese officials attribute the outage to the work of mysterious blood-drinking "undead" creatures that are normally nocturnal but, thanks to the smog and haze, are now being seen during daylight hours. Nothing some hot glue and patience can't fix LOL I always thought you hated this bird :) But when you finally got it up and running good and started liking it the powerlines took it away XD As you hit it though probably most of China lost electricity!!! A good lesson in perspective. As you watch and control and safely fly your plane, one must also have total "situational" awareness. Where are they in time and place in addition to what they are thinking to handle the bird. Why a sniper always has a spotter near him. The world of R/C aircraft leaves so little time to think over the total situation. God Bless...Gianni
