i honestly don't think bruce will succeed in saving gotham. Look at it from a realistic view. Look at how cruel and corrupted gotham is, and to let a vigilante try and save it is asking to much of him. The city cannot be saved but controlled. Bruce said from the get go (batman begins) that he wasnt going to sit back and watch gotham get taken over by criminals, so in a sense all he's doing is trying, trying to help, but isnt sure if he will succeed. It's not about winning or losing but trying.
When I first saw this particular trailer, with the joker's line "does it depress you... how alone, you really are" I realized that ledger's performance and the script had reached a level of psychological fucked-up-ness that I hadn't previously suspected
even though they switched up and put different audio clips togther for this movie trailer, out of all the trailers for this movie, this one is the most badasss.
@Evidentz07 There is for certain one deleted scene.
In the script, there's a scene after the party scene when the joker is looking for Harvey Dent in which he hops back into the car, bleeding, and exclaims "it's all part of the plan".
I know it exists somewhere because a) there was a photo of that exact scene released when the film was being publicized, and b) he says that line on multiple trailers.
@solyentbrak1 Oops. Yes, the hospital scene. I can't believe I forgot about that, and I've seen the film enough times.
Still, the photo exists. I'm thinking that there may have been an issue with the footage, because while it's not new to take footage out of films, the particular spot in the film where this occurred does leave a strange absence in which Batman saves Rachel, but they then don't return to the party.
I'm thinking that. But I'm still hoping the footage is fine.
A news report in November I believe said that Warner Bros was going to present their plans to Christopher Nolan in Jan. regarding the third film. Let's hope we hear some offical news soon!
It has to do with Domino's because back right before the movie was released, Domino's was doing a promotion where if you ordered a pizza online, it would enable you to go into the "Dark Knight Vault" or something like that, and see exclusive stuff, like this trailer.
Of course, there were those of us who found a way around having to order a pizza to see the exclusive trailer ;)
I guess the excitement of the film took my better judgement. The comment by "tyler" is correct. It really is not right to compare Nicholson to Ledger. They both played the part great. I remember when I saw "Batman" back in 1989 I was excited too about Jack's performance. Although, I did not like when he fell to his death at the end. You just don't kill off the best Batman villain.
Excellent trailer. Made me want to see the movie even more. I was totally speechless after seeing the film. Going to see it again this weekend. Ledger was awesome. The BEST Joker to date. I doubt anyone will ever be able top that performance. RIP Heath! Thank you for leaving us with an excellent Batman film.
Yes, Ledger's performance was indeed excellent, but you cant compare Ledger and Jack Nicholson against each other because of the sole fact that there characters were so different. And yes, this movie was one of my favorites of all time to be honest. I saw it about 4 times, would love to see it a 5th ;).
too bad it didn't tell us how he became the Joker but we already know that and when Batman told Joker "where is he" i think he refer to Harvey Dent(Two Face)
you can hear the Joker voice changed a little cause of the editing cause Heath was gone & Daniel Day Lewis changed it i think cause my bro-in-law told me when he said "good evening ladies & Gentlemen"
I'm serious you can listen to some changes listen to this vid closely when he says Good Evening ladies & gentleman and also the other. I meant cause you know when they are editing. I think Heath was already dead when they were editing
I know there is a differance in the way he says the line, this is easily manipulated in post. The Jokers voice has slight variation throughout the movie it seems, I just didn't know what the fuck you were talking about Daniel Day lewis changing something, or something??????????????
well cause I saw a pic of him being a Joker maybe he will be a Joker in the latest film of Batman after 2 or 3 films. or was it just photoshop. But we'll never know cause he took Heaths' Oscar so maybe he will be soon and please no Bad words I'm trying to cut the habbit
Wow, are you stupid? Daniel Day Lewis changing something in this movie?! Have you heard of MULTIPLE takes? Heath's death didn't affect this movie AT ALL!! The movie was wrapped. They always do this with films and trailers. They shoot multiple takes, and release certain versions with the trailers. That "different" voice in the trailer is Heath's but they chose to go with an alternate for the movie. It's called different takes and editing. Wow.

Should have left the "this town is MINE now" cut in the actual movie, rather than the one they actually used... it gave me goosebumps.

I would fucking love to see a re-released Blu-Ray with deleted scenes and some features showing the different takes.
"This town is mine now"
I had never been so excited for a film like I was for 'The Dark Knight'. I'll never have an experience like that again.

Fatastic trailer. But Besides from the post what does it have to do with DOMINO'S PIZZA.
