  • I rated it 5 stars but just one concern, you only did one and a half hours of ground work???? I would suggest at least 2 months of solid ground work.... It might be a pain now ( I know) but it gives for a better horse than one tht u just get on and ride.

  • He turned out to be a great horse, one of the best. He was great the first day and a little better each day after that. Not with horse but with most others I have the opportunity to work with them in some way everyday handling them as they grow up. When your patient and do things right it goes quickly and smoothly. Horses do learn quick, in nature they don't have to have something bad happen to them 20 times before they think twice about doing something. Think about how you train.

  • Looks good to me. Nice quiet uneventful first ride.

  • ha me and my saddlebred boy did this at 2 yrs old no groundwork@!!!!!! yay

  • if I had him at 2 years of age he would have been started. I had just got him home around 4am that morning.

  • I think it is better to start horses later. Gives them time to grow up and finish developing. But lots of people start at 2.

  • Here in the Netherlands they start to work with horses around the age of 3 or 4.

  • @GoatBlaat It's best that way.

  • @ jenrific

I thought the same way, since they're mostly grown up around that age o.o
