Hmm, I don't think it should even have gotten a movie. I think the entire plot is awful. But to avoid getting flamed massively, probably a young actor no one had heard of before Twilight. Robert Pattison brought some of his status from Harry Potter with him, a young fresh actor might have done a better job with the role.

It should be pointed out that Crispin Freeman is probably too old for the role and doesn't have the right type of charm to play Edward, nothing against Crispin, I adore him.
