  • lol 0:00 - 4:29

  • 3:08 FAIL!

  • GAP = Gay And Proud

  • fuicking yts 62 versus a selmer III, try a boogie mark III, the real stuf, ...hot stuf

  • im getting tired of traditional metal palm mute riffs.

  • oh! ben merde t' as qu' des j' aime pas.....

allé j' te met un "j'aime!"

  • lol @ shredding atempt

  • nothing screams rock star like a GAP t-shirt.......

  • i love the poster behind

  • Why is every solo IN THE WRONG KEY?!?

  • he's playin the intro of power rangers :D!

  • @boomxpassion He is! That is totally a poor attempt at the intro to the power rangers theme.

  • This guy can't play o.o

  • i dont know what you rock better, guitar or the gap

  • too much mid in the sound .. doesnt soun well my peavy sound better than this amp for the price it worth...

  • This guy SUCKS!!!

  • The Dean Razorback is cool in & of itself,

that guitar with a Mesa Boogie and some lessons and you're on your way.

  • i gotta point one thing out... i love when people look like a fag and end up being the coolest person on earth. no offence its the GAP shirt ;)

  • WTF ARE YOU PLAYING!!??

    its amazing

  • lol... nice poster in the background :D

  • did you have to boost the amp when shooting this video?

  • How much do Mark IV combos go for? used and new?

  • I paid $850 for my narrow body combo a couple of weeks ago. One of, if not the best music gear purchase I have ever made.

  • how the fruit loop did you do that?!? that is the cheapest ive heard of for a multi channel head let alone the best one ever made... what the deuce that makes me angry ugh so not fair!!!!

  • I don't know.... It's a combo though, still rack-mountable or convertible to head. The tubes will probably have to be changed soon, although it sounds pretty amazing as is. Also, it didn't have foot-switch. However, I found a mk iv foot-switch on ebay for $60 two days after I bought the amp. Definitely something I've been bragging about. I guess it's just a buyers market right now.

  • Awesome dude. Can the combos capture he same sound as the head? Or is sound quialty lost?

  • the combos are pretty powerful for a combo i have mine running through an orange to give it a little meat. which is a big improvement i used to have it going through a marshall with vintage 30's a little too thin for me. also the foot pedal for 60 is also a good deal they run 250 new and i think the most expensive mesa makes, unless the road king's cost more dont know

  • Awesome. Thanks a lot dude. sounds awesome. I'll look into it.

  • The combo itself doesn't have as much bottom end as a 4x12 does, but electronicaly It's the same thing as the short head. I'm running it through a Mesa 4x12 and sounds fantastic. The combo has a 200 watt black shadow speaker, which I don't really care for because you have to really crank the volume for the speaker to break up, whereas the celestions 30's break up much earlier. That's all opinion though.

  • what about a 2x12 cab? would that still bring up the bottom end? Cuz i'm not sure if i've got enough space for a 4x12 and I'm probably going to be movin around quite a bit.

  • that dean, that is so pointy, im pretty sure i would cut myself if i attempted to pick it up, goes great with that gap shirt!!!!

    very metal!!!

  • It's all fun and games until someone losses an eye...Losses was intentional, for those in the know.

  • WTF is up with 2:47!!!

  • muscle spasms maybe lol

  • Mark IV is by far and away, the best amd Mesa Boogie has made to date! No other boogie, or amp, has the "GLOWING" sound of 6l6's like the Mark IV. Even when playing palm muting style, you can get unique nuances with each note, not to mention the amazing harmonic mid section on this amp. I could go on, and on. Best amp in the world. Chord dynamics, string articulation, and it screams! Thrash, classic rock, blues, emo crap, whatever, it all sounds good through this amp. Late.

  • What is better for thrash metal, the mark IV, mark V, or the Dual Rectifier?

  • Mark IV... Or even better, a Mark III if you play thrash... Or a IIC+ if you can afford it... But the Mark III sounds 85% like the IIC+ (Red Stripe at least). The Mark IV is an amp more suited to Proggy stuff.

  • Hard Choice but I would go with a Mark IV

  • lamb of god uses mark IV. they're not thrash, but just throwing that out there.

  • i believe that lamb of god is using mark V now

  • no, all they use are mark iv's

  • can u help, my razorback buzzes every time im trying to play something, what do i do

  • this guy is bad!!! o.O look at his face!! hes angryy!! hahah

    very cool guitar and sound..

  • lol is this a joke?

  • lol ok....but john petrucci is one of the best guitarists of all time...hes way better than dimebag darrell but i prefer dime WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more...im a pantera metallica fan here so yeah..i dont really listen to dream theater..

  • im as bored as you look. cheers up! haha, sharp playing though

  • lol

  • Mark Morton and Willie Adler from L.O.G. DO use a Mark IV's, both in studio (90% of Mark's recordings have been done trough a Mesa Mark IV) and in live shows such as The Download Festival (lots of space to crank up those tubes!!!) which leaves alot of stories to tell... anyway, MARK IV's ARE GREAT AMPS

  • Indeed, sir. Our demonstration does the amp no justice. But I hope it helps some players. At least it gives a sense of the voicing from the amp.

    Thanks for your comment!

  • god i want one of these so f**king badly - but this demo does not do this amp justice

  • hahah you can say it loud

  • If you want a Mesa for like brutal metal you wouldnt get a Mark IV you would get a Triple Rectifier or a Double the Mark IV is used by bands like Dream Theater. When the Double is used by Metallica and the triple by Lamb of God

  • your kidding right?

john petrucci of dream theater uses mark IV's but has been known to use the road king alot , which is a breed of the DUAL rectifier series, and also is known for using a mark IIC+ which is the most brutal sounding off all mesas...

and if you brushed up on your gear knowledge, youd know that the guy from lamb of god indeed uses a mesa mark IV short head... and kirk hammet from metallica doesnt use mesas exclusivley....considering he has a fucking signature amp from randall...

  • yea kirk has a randall but he only uses it for studio he never uses it live and lamb of god uses both

  • im pretty sure i seen a clip with the dude from lamb of god playing a mark IV and saying how good it was. And does mettalica use a triaxis live?

  • last time i checked on there website it said they used the double live

  • Willie Adler and Mark Morton from Lamb Of God both use 2 Mark IV small heads each for all their tours, they use Soldano heads, Orange heads (believe it or not) and Mesa Mark IV heads in the studio. They only have Triple Rectifiers for show in As The Palaces Burn.

  • HAHA the only vid i have watched by them was from As the Palaces burn so that could explain my mistake

  • Mark IV sounds more tight than the dual rectifier and the road king, specially boosted with a bb preamp or something like that, and nowadays petrucci has a pretty brutal sound if you listen to the new album or the previus one (systematic chaos)

  • He uses Mark Vs now.

  • i know, he only used road kings for the recording of his solo album.

  • Absolutely INSANE playing aside, it sounds harsh and thin-ish. Try and Axe-Fx.....

    Keep shredding!!!!!!

  • DONT FORGET IT!

  • no offense but this makes me not want to buy a Mark IV...

  • that's what i was thinking

  • tone is all in the hands

  • I disagree. While tone is mostly in the hands, good equipment is also essential to good tone. HOWEVER. Having a 3000$ guitar and amp WILL NOT make you a better player, I think we can all agree on that.

  • @slysendice tone is mostly in the hands? WTF O.o

  • @asgore Well no. I just looked back on that comment and saw it was ridiculous xD

SKILL is in the hands. TONE is in the equipment. Tone won't make you a good player, and skill won't make your tone good. You need both to sound good. How's that :P

  • @FroFrogInc Dude i know alot of people that swear good tone comes from the hand but not me...I think it helps but tone comes from the guitar and the way the strings ressonate through the wood and pickups

  • mesa doesnt suck, you just dont like them. I'd take John Petrucci's word over yours.

  • mindcrushingly tedious clip , you could have played with a lot more variety, the duh duh duh duh duh style of playing got seriously old very quickly.

  • Can someone explain to me what it means when i look up mesa boogie mark iv in google and it i see mesa boogie mark iv "short head" and "medium chassis" and then "long chassis" or somthing like that can someone tell me what that means? is it the same amp or what?

  • sounds muddy

  • Don't forget to subscribe to our feed at GEAR-VAULT (dot) com

  • respect for your dean razorback

  • I prefer the 5150 and a boosted JCM800 than Single/Dual/Triple rectifiers and Mark IV for metal tones.

  • im not a recto fan, but the mark IV is one of my favorite amps

  • You must like muddy undefined chords if you prefer those amps over the Mesa's you mentioned

  • Yeah I agree. The old Mesa Rectifier series 2ch heads and the Mark series are no Joke. I wish I never sold my 1994 Dual Rec with JJ tubes.

  • thats my point of view! ¬¬

  • Nice playing and great sounding amp and guitar. Thanks for sharing and please make more videos.

  • nice poster :D

  • you have a nice pinch of love...lol

  • Dean razzorback with GAP t-shirt......... Dosen't match

  • Rock n Roll is supposed to be not giving a shit about stuff like that lol, that dude can rock.

  • @shizzlinphil Since when did cosmetics matter?

  • power rangers !!!!!!!!!!!

  • wtf guys this is how gud the mesa boogie amp is not theguitar....and ye you guys must suck cocks if u dont like dime's razorback...cuz it has balls and wud eat ur mum 4 lunch. anyhow the amp is really good but its to expensive. the head cab alone cost's £2489 sadly. but does sound good in real life.

  • mate, just get an orange cab AMAZING tone and get any head you would like

  • i have the seven string black and yellow razorback xD

  • Quit hating on the Gap t-shirt. How you dress doesn't affect how well you can play.

Nice amp though. I want one.....

  • dude this guy sucks balls but nice amp

  • Amen.

  • holy sh*t thats the guitar ive been wanting forevr i playd it once at guitar center and its just amazing! nice playing to bro ur awsum.. but lose the gap shirt lol jk nice job.

  • nice equipment

    nice play :D

  • Nice playing C. I never knew you could play that well. Haven't seen you in about 8 years, your playing has improved greatly! Rock on and Nothing else matters.!!

  • I think this is the best sounding mark IV clip on youtube I've heard yet. Some of the other clips sound buzzy or fuzzy a little like a dual rec.

  • Where are the harmonics?

  • i love the porn on the wall

  • Not porn, just seductive swim suite. Rated PG-13. :)

  • Call it what you want, but a turd is a turd. Nice poster ;). Sweet playing too!

  • yes, the room echo messed it up plus the mic is too far away

  • Are you playing Power Rangers in the beginning?

  • lol i thought the same thing

  • You got a lot of echo in that room. It takes away from the sound quality of the amp

  • I hate the headstock on Dean guitars.. looks like a cancerous V.

  • nice T-shirt LOL

  • mesa boogie rules!!!!!!

  • nice poster
