Meh, Vipers aren't all that great anyways. They put out all of that torque, but since they don't have traction control, there's no way to efficiently use it.
@Burtocd Lol, there is if you actually know how to drive the thing. To hell with driving aids, the viper is a real drivers car. It's only the fastest production car around the nurburgring (7:12) ...no big deal or anything

I have a 96 jetta highly modified with an engine swap and aftermarket turbo. I love going to the track, so much fun. Way better than the drag strip.

Im a real car guy i love everything from lowriders to lifted trucks. Just not highly modified 1996 jetta's

Most of them are running factory transfer cases and front ends. what did u have to repair? Just curious what the week point is between the thr transfer case and front end? ive been running my Duramax for about 2 years now with factory 4x4 and it runs steady 10 sec times. i also have a 08 f250 that runs 12s with factory 4x4

@ R7300 nah not quite bro maybe a used viper with some scratches in it lol , if I rember right this truck had mostly bolt ons no major motor work , a billet trans and some good tuning maybe totaling 10k and truck prolly was around 27k so grand total of 37 k just rough figures. Now if you can find a viper for under 40k I'd like to see it personally I'd rather hav a truck that runs like a viper that have a actual viper can't do much with em but drive and make gasstations rich :)

Tuning i dont think is gonna get you to beat a viper, im sure he had the tranny, bigger injectors, and stacked tuners.But you can get 2004 vipers with 14,000 miles for about $43,000. Check out ebay there are some crazy deals i have been lookin myself cause they are such a good deal. Plus its not very good on these diesel engines to do this stuff but regardless its obviously quick :)

@jeflagoon. Look at the damn video half way down the track. U can clearly see the viper starts pulling hard on that diesel. I've owned a modded diesel an now and srt-10 ram and the viper engine pulls so ridiculously hard on top end it's not even funny.
It looked like they were dead even...you could see the duramax and smoke but the viper looked like it was in front if the d-max. Why didn't u video the finish line, I think the viper got it.

@jeflagoon. Look at the damn video half way down the track. U can clearly see the viper starts pulling hard on that diesel. I've owned a modded diesel an now and srt-10 ram and the viper engine pulls so ridiculously hard on top end it's not even funny.

It looked like they were dead even...you could see the duramax and smoke but the viper looked like it was in front if the d-max. Why didn't u video the finish line, I think the viper got it.

Holy crap those are some fast rides! I have a friend that has a duramax putting down 400HP/700 TQ to the wheels, and its nothing like that! (check my vids for the dyno and him doing a nice burnout)
That duramax engine is NOTHING to laugh at! You see one of those trucks on the road remember this video lol.
