@eddillion It's from the RARE 1968 debut LP/CD "Shades Of Deep Purple", available REMASTERED on Spitfire CD's as an import. Also check out their 2nd album, "The Book Of Taliesyn" (also from 1968), and their self-titled 3rd album and the the last one from the Mark I lineup released in 1969, "Deep Purple"
This car is the best looking saloon car on the road. Tata know what they are doing. Ford was in a terrible financial crisis when they sold Jaguar. India is an amazing country and they are already doing a good job with Jaguar. They are keeping the same most important people. They are still using the English assembly amongst others.
I've always liked Jaguars, but when this ad came out, it made me feel as though I HAD TO HAVE ONE. Lol. To this day I still hope to have one eventually!
If you do, get the V6! It handles better and has about as much torque as the V8. There was an English train robber who always stole a Jag for his getaway vehicle. He always choose the smaller engine over the larger, claiming the handling was better. It's amazing that the sole of the 3.2 MKII jag can be seen in the new XF. Just Brilliant!

It is pretty cool. My boyfriend has the V6. the strange part is that recently over the weekend it lost 2nd and 3rd gear randomly and he's only had it just under a year.
What's wrong with Adobe Premiere Pro? Never had a problem with Windows operating systems or IBM computers and I can fix them myself unlike Apple computers which have to be sent back to the dealer and cost more than they're worth.

I do love this commercial. watching it again as you can see. also, there is a lot of things in the commercial that have nothing to do with the car. the hot girl for one. the song is picked especially for this commercial also. not just cause its an awesome song. listen, talks about the girl. it is connecting the car with the girl. intertextuality, something like this. commercials are so complicated, its no joke that this cost jaguar millions of dollars.
Jaguar is the new # 1 in front of lexus who was the #1 for 13 years. this is a great commercial. well made and very to the point on what type of car you get.
...yeah you could plug in joe south hush and get the original 1967 song, or plug in deep purple and get this version....looks like you dont know shit fisherdan99!
A very nice car, much better than the Stype or (dread to even mention it) the Xtype. Just saw my first one a few weeks ago, and it is even better in person than the photos reveal.
However, I always feel - especially when compared to the C-XF - that the styling has been compromised. The headlamps and grille miss the character that the concept had.
We also get this ad in Australia, albiet a much shorter version, and with the addition of a price at the end - "From $108,000". I was thinking "is that all??"
lol - now i'm only going to reply in an appropriate way so.. - you 'TWAT' joe south did do 'hush' but the song was made famous, not to mention the version used WAS Deep Purple. Prick!
Urgh - this advert gets a little nauseating. I think it's supposed to target the younger market, hence the Deep Purple song. I guess the advertisers weren't ready for the new fangled grunge music.
We recently brought this car, it is amazing! a driving pleasure. Highly recommend it (even due to the price tag) we got the unnecessarily large supercharged v8 and there is power to burn.
The song played is Hush by Deep Purple. No, it's not some shabby cover of the song, this is the original Hush. So, remember: Deep Purple - Hush. By the way, this commercial makes my fomer Jaguar love make its way back to me. Damn, I forgot how much I love these cars.
I saw this commercial alot when the NBA was on. My room mate in college always watched basketball, so this came up alot. I think this is the only great thing the NBA had to offer was nice car commercials.

Im Still Not Sure On The XF Yet, It Will Grow On Me! It Looks Sort Of A Lexus And The New Ford Mondeo, but still. I Have A New Jag S-Type, All The Options With Cream SoftGrain Leather Seats, And Its In Emerald Green. Cost Me Over 40,000£, But Worth Every Penny!
And you can find "Hush" on the "Shades Of Deep Purple" 1968 original album on Tetragrammaton Records or the 2000 remastered CD of it now on Spitfire Records. It made the Top 5 back in 1968, and was originally written by Joe South.
I highly recommend it, as every track seems to be a winner and no, this is not the same Deep Purple lineup that put out "Smoke On The Water" in 1972, that one was done by the Mark II lineup, "Hush" was done by the Original (Mark I lineup) of Deep Purple (1968-69)

Don't be fooled by the hype - this car is not time tested
Be Extremely careful if you are thinking of buying a car from Jaguar.
My brand new x-type (£33000) engine with 29000 on the clock blew up and Jaguar have refused to honour the warranty. It also had loads of other problems. We're now suing them. Jags aren't what they used to be - Caveat Emptor - don't buy one
You still didn't respond. What did they say you had or hadn't done. Have you ever heard of maintenance. I dont mean taking it to jag every year, i mean checking the oil level etc. Sounds like you didnt, and if that is the case, you deserve it. End of. Jags are hugely reliable, and yours is the first I have ever heard of with problems. Resultantly, I believe it is 'your fault'.
DONT LISTEN TO HIM - HE CANNOT ACCEPT THAT HE DID SOMETHING WRONG.
Oh my effing god, people. Why is this even up for debate? I wasn't going to get involved, but I can't resist on this one. This is NOT the Kula Shaker version. Repeat, this version of Hush, seen here in a Jaguar ad, is NOT by Kula Shaker. It IS, for sure, 100% postive, the version by Deep Purple. End of story. If you continue to doubt, go play a 30 second clip on Amazon, and play it against this video. You will see it IS the Deep Purple version.
Yeah its true! uglipenguin is right and I was wrong. This is Deep Purple's version of Hush (1968), and not the 1988 version that I first thought it was. Proof is at Wikipedia under "In other media" Contents.

Great car and great music. I happily drive a Civic SI but I can also appreciate a hot car I can't afford LOL. And "Hush" man is that a great tune or what? Rock on!
