  • if only the video quality was as nice as the car

  • Such a sweet car my dad got it.. :)

  • If I get this car I hope it comes with the chick from the video.

  • the power of advertising!!!!

  • What idiot names thier car after a truck? (DAF XF)

  • anyone know the soundtrack to this ad?

  • @Guitarmofo24

    Deep Purple - Hush

  • Jaguar seem to make better car adverts than any other manufacturer. And also, cars!.

  • For the person wanting to know the song played.

It is "Hush" by Deep Purple

  • @eddillion It's from the RARE 1968 debut LP/CD "Shades Of Deep Purple", available REMASTERED on Spitfire CD's as an import. Also check out their 2nd album, "The Book Of Taliesyn" (also from 1968), and their self-titled 3rd album and the the last one from the Mark I lineup released in 1969, "Deep Purple"

The Original Mark I lineup from 1968-69::

    Rod Evans - Vocals

    Ritchie Blackmore - Guitar

    Jon Lord - Organ, Keyboards

Nick Simper - Bass, Backing Vocals

    Ian Paice - Drums

  • wot is the song actually called?

  • Tata had nothing to do with this XF platform... other than that, India and it's people are very nice..

The song is better than the car..

  • This car is the best looking saloon car on the road. Tata know what they are doing. Ford was in a terrible financial crisis when they sold Jaguar. India is an amazing country and they are already doing a good job with Jaguar. They are keeping the same most important people. They are still using the English assembly amongst others.

  • Whats the name of the song in the new xf ad? The one that talks about the 39 international awards?

  • Love this advert :D

  • This is Deep Purple remixed version.

  • ad in a few exhaust notes, and this is one of the best car ads ever.

  • every time i watch this ad on the telly i tell myself i'm gonna have this car when i grow up

  • only problem is that the Indian's own it now.. so congrats, you will be purchasing an indian subcontinant car. :)))

  • what song is thiss?? i love it

  • google the lyrics

  • Song is HUSH by deep purple

  • originally but this is the kula shaker version

  • no, it isnt, its the deep purple version

  • Scrap that. The original is by joe south

  • my mums just brought the xk. :)

    so happy. (Y)(Y)

  • This just made me want to buy another one :)

  • Aleksandro ! ! ! Deep Purple - Hush.

  • Anyone knows who sings this song from jaguar ad?

  • Its SO beautiful :):):):):):)

  • Cut with Final Cut Pro!!!!!!

  • And color graded with Apple Color!

  • Hot Cut!!!!

  • Deep Purple ROOL OK!

  • did they get the ipod jack this time

  • There's always something so British about Jaguars, they are to Britain as Cabs are to New York.

  • *England : ) ... wow your defo right about that cab thing lol... or you coulda said... black taxis to england :P... yes im bored ha!

  • This is an awesom add... simple because the car is brilliant, and the music is great

    hope this pulls jag out!

love jags... and hopefully will sell the s-type and buy me one of these!

maybe ill w8 for a bit cause i have this feelin jag is about to do some more RADICAL motoring!!

  • you should get it if you can... dad just bought one... AMAZING : ) ... really fast too!... we got all the toys lol fun :)

  • I've always liked Jaguars, but when this ad came out, it made me feel as though I HAD TO HAVE ONE. Lol. To this day I still hope to have one eventually!

  • If you do, get the V6! It handles better and has about as much torque as the V8. There was an English train robber who always stole a Jag for his getaway vehicle. He always choose the smaller engine over the larger, claiming the handling was better. It's amazing that the sole of the 3.2 MKII jag can be seen in the new XF. Just Brilliant!

  • good music and gorgeous car

  • And it was made on a Mac ;)

Proof is on Apple's website in "Final Cut Studio in Action" :D

  • Lol, I just watched the video, macs rule!

  • What's wrong with Adobe Premiere Pro? Never had a problem with Windows operating systems or IBM computers and I can fix them myself unlike Apple computers which have to be sent back to the dealer and cost more than they're worth.

  • my dad has one of them its a good all round car and very comfortable just not a car for people who dont like technology.

  • whats this song?

  • Got this baby just before X-mas..this car is just GREAT!

  • I can't wait to service my SType jaguar again and recieve the XF courtesy car again. Awsome machine, can't wait until the sports version comes out !

  • Thats one NICE car!

  • I'm driving a c6, thinking of to change and go for a xf...

  • an extremely good, persuasive commercial, im tempted by it.

  • does anyone know what that songs called its really buggin me not nowin

  • Deep Purple - Hush :D

  • what is this song called?

  • Joe South (original), Deep purple: Hush :-)

  • whats this song called??

  • still the smoothest ride on the road, wish I still had my cat, but that's happens when fuel hits $6+ a gallon.

  • cos this is british so corners like a fly and handles like a motorbike, not like your shit straight line speed yank tanks!

  • well derrrr. Its a Jag

  • Cant really compare a Taurus to a Jag. idiot.

  • XK8 RULES!!!

  • wats the song called?

  • hush by deep purple

  • wat the song that plays cuz my dad said it was called touch but nothing came up...?

  • It's called Hush, Deep Purple's 1968 version to be specific, don't get mixed up with their 1988 version.

  • A very nice car, much better than the Stype or (dread to even mention it) the Xtype. Just saw my first one a few weeks ago, and it is even better in person than the photos reveal.

However, I always feel - especially when compared to the C-XF - that the styling has been compromised. The headlamps and grille miss the character that the concept had.

  • We also get this ad in Australia, albiet a much shorter version, and with the addition of a price at the end - "From $108,000". I was thinking "is that all??"

  • Its only a $49,000 car in the US, not sure why the ad says that.

  • Um, did you miss the part where I said I'm in Australia? 3.0L V6 = $108350. 4.2L V8 = $134830. Quite the bargain.

  • Ah, no I didn't sorry about the confusion. =)

  • its not deeppurple u twat its joe south

  • That's a little harsh, all they did was make a mistake! There are nicer ways to correct someone!

  • lol, if you're gonna insult someone make sure you know what you're talking about. It IS Deep Purple.

  • lol - now i'm only going to reply in an appropriate way so.. - you 'TWAT' joe south did do 'hush' but the song was made famous, not to mention the version used WAS Deep Purple. Prick!

  • u don't no shit!

put in joe south hush and find out for ur self u lil peice of piss go get laid and find out ur lil fucker

    p.s

    its joe south hush xx

  • u talking to me?

  • Urgh - this advert gets a little nauseating. I think it's supposed to target the younger market, hence the Deep Purple song. I guess the advertisers weren't ready for the new fangled grunge music.

  • We recently brought this car, it is amazing! a driving pleasure. Highly recommend it (even due to the price tag) we got the unnecessarily large supercharged v8 and there is power to burn.

  • The song played is Hush by Deep Purple. No, it's not some shabby cover of the song, this is the original Hush. So, remember: Deep Purple - Hush. By the way, this commercial makes my fomer Jaguar love make its way back to me. Damn, I forgot how much I love these cars.

  • this commercial is awesome. mesmerizing.

  • I saw this commercial alot when the NBA was on. My room mate in college always watched basketball, so this came up alot. I think this is the only great thing the NBA had to offer was nice car commercials.

  • nos its joe south from the 60s

  • this song is HUSH by deep purple. it definately is if you listen to the whole song. its not hush by kula shaker, most certainly deep purple =)

  • And you can find "Hush" on the "Shades Of Deep Purple" 1968 original album on Tetragrammaton Records or the 2000 remastered CD of it now on Spitfire Records. It made the Top 5 back in 1968, and was originally written by Joe South.

I highly recommend it, as every track seems to be a winner and no, this is not the same Deep Purple lineup that put out "Smoke On The Water" in 1972, that one was done by the Mark II lineup, "Hush" was done by the Original (Mark I lineup) of Deep Purple (1968-69)

  • does anybody kow whats ong this is?

  • Yeah that song is dope. Deep Purple-Hush.

  • You still didn't respond. What did they say you had or hadn't done. Have you ever heard of maintenance. I dont mean taking it to jag every year, i mean checking the oil level etc. Sounds like you didnt, and if that is the case, you deserve it. End of. Jags are hugely reliable, and yours is the first I have ever heard of with problems. Resultantly, I believe it is 'your fault'.

DONT LISTEN TO HIM - HE CANNOT ACCEPT THAT HE DID SOMETHING WRONG.

29000 miles is not brand new - what year? 53

  • thanks!!! LOVE THE SONG!!

  • Amazing! The car is gorgeous! The music is fantastic.., totally refreshing.., I am in love with Jaguar all over again! ~ owner of 2 E-type Jags ~

  • A nice car, but a bit old style ad..

  • It's old-school cause old-school is back!

  • Great editng! Will watch again!!

(Still, it's a bit of a shame that Jaguar designed the car with its headlights upside down.)

  • Oh my effing god, people. Why is this even up for debate? I wasn't going to get involved, but I can't resist on this one. This is NOT the Kula Shaker version. Repeat, this version of Hush, seen here in a Jaguar ad, is NOT by Kula Shaker. It IS, for sure, 100% postive, the version by Deep Purple. End of story. If you continue to doubt, go play a 30 second clip on Amazon, and play it against this video. You will see it IS the Deep Purple version.

  • Kula Shaker - Hush

  • No. Deep Purple - Hush.

  • I love Jaguar adverts, so cool.

  • yeah this is so Deep Purple

    great song

    cool song

  • Yeah its true! uglipenguin is right and I was wrong. This is Deep Purple's version of Hush (1968), and not the 1988 version that I first thought it was. Proof is at Wikipedia under "In other media" Contents.

  • This version is by Deep Purple, I think many people listened to the newer version of the Deep Purple song and they are confused. This commerical uses the 1968 version.

I think its kinda funny how its supposed to be the "new" Jaguar, but they choose this song. I think its great- this ad made me consider the XF for my next car.

  • Great car and great music. I happily drive a Civic SI but I can also appreciate a hot car I can't afford LOL. And "Hush" man is that a great tune or what? Rock on!

  • WRONG....that is definitely Deep Purple.

  • definitly not!

    its deep purple

  • Oh my effing god, people. Why is this even up for debate? I wasn't going to get involved, but I can't resist on this one. This is NOT the Kula Shaker version.
