I have an idea why not make a five game set where you start in pallet town and follow the whole story line to the end. Where you can catch all the pokemon and have to defeat all of the original gym leaders along with the new ones. I would like it if you could continue your profile from a different game so you could have all the pokemon you catch from the first and the information transfers to the next game.

I'm not saying that it's unlikely, but the only reason that the creators of Pokemon created remakes of Red/Green and Gold/Silver was so that completing the PokeDex was possible via Nintendo DS, which had the GBA slot. The slots allowed for the rectangular cartridges to be used. The square ones were apart of the Generation I and II, which were not allowed to be played on the Nintendo DS, thereby making transfers impossible to the DS cartridges.

@DARKSAMUS386 Here's the problem. It's not known if they'll remake Gen 3 games because thanks to Pal Park and the PokeTransfer, you can get all your Pokemon from the Gen 3 games. They remade Red, Blue, Gold, and Silver because Gen 3 wasn't compatible with earlier gens.

yes, but diamond, pearl, and platinum are already pretty much things of the past and the 3ds and some of the ds systems are not compatible with GBA games. and besides, migrating pokemon to one game and then transfering them to another is a lot of work and takes too much time.

I just want a game that puts all the regions in one almost like HG and SS did. So you'd go through the primary story line then beat the elite four then leave all your old pokemon behind and go into a new region then once you got to the next elite four your new regions PC would fuse with your old and the process could continue like 3 more times. I'm still wondering why everyone hated the 5th generation...

I mean the pokemon don't look any worse than the other games (except for emboar, but then there's heatran, swalot, piloswine and magmar for the other gens), the story line was probably the best out of the 5, and it simply played so much smoother and faster than the other games. I guess you can say that there isn't any new mechanics, but tbh I think they needed this period to really optimize it and bring pokemon into the new generation.

@sora8711 The game corner lost its use when TMs became multi use (and it was kinda lame anyway) and the battle frontier has always been in the third installation of the generation, (or in the remakes), so that'll come with time. I admit the Vs Seeker was a loss though.

To that last point though, that's just nostalgia. Try to look at it with an open mind, I mean if Samurott came first, you know you'd be complaining about how Blastoise sounds nothing like a water type.

Frankly, I've never had that problem, and I've only played gen 5 for about 3 months now, whereas I've been playing pokemon since silver was released. I mean I suppose it's all subjective (I hated gen 4, even if it was the best one in terms of competitive battling) but my point wasn't that the gen 5 games are as fun as the others, but rather that they are just as good quality- and originality-wise.

But in my view I see this as the list of best gens. 2nd Gen >(greater than) 3rd gen> 1st gen> 5th gen > 4th gen. So it's not completely following the pattern of "getting worst as it goes on."
