@jesse17ful if your using double pedals you can have the hi-hat stand closer then with 2 bass drums, you dont have the hassle of trying to tune 2 drums and if your supporting a band its not very offen they'll have a drummer with 2 bass drums so its alot easier, and as for cymbals i have 12 on a 6 piece kit, each has its own sound and when hit right make the song come alive i play metal but i love funk jazz, but thats the beauty with the drumming world everyones different

@jesse17ful Ya jesse, Cymbals/Kit don't matter it's whatever the drummer is comfortable with, I use my double peddle at home when im practicing but playing live shows i use 2 basses cause it just looks better. and Cymbals well Terry bozzio has over 47 cymbals mate, and My favourite drummer Matt traynor only has 2 crashes a china and hi hat with a very small 5 peice kit. It doesn't matter about what size you've got in a kit it's how your technique works with it
