  • Not sure when the term "shredder" came in....but Randy was unlike a lot of players I think. Sure he used hammer-ons and pull-offs too, but he sure did pick most of the notes....that not really an easy thing to do cleanly. RR was a master of it!

  • I like the way he picks at 3:34. It's like he turns on the "magical chainsaw" or something :D

  • It's on the "The Randy Rhoads Years (1993)" Quiet Riot album. You can download it from any big torrent site ;)

  • holy crap... this is amazing! This kid was very close to God!

  • Kevin and randy rawk in heaven!

  • Instrumental-wise Quiet Riot was an awesome band ... I just can't get over Kevin Dubrow's singing ... It's a shame there's not good quality footage of Randy with Ozzy in concert.

  • im sure there is i bet sharon is just keepin it all but i think randy's mom wants it on the documentary coming out

  • i seen the full footage of randy playing over the mountain he rocked on the solo!

  • yeah but is it good footage cuz ive spent like 2 years lookin at randy stuff so i think ive seen what your talkin about.

  • do u have any idea were i can watch randy play goodbye to romance

  • theres none known to us fans, but i forgot the name of the arena but they had recorded (in high quality) every show from 1976 and ozzy and randy played there in 81 i think. so its all a big mystery. and the footage of randy and ozzyout there for us is : crazy train, i dont know, lil bit of believer, mr crowley, mother earth, steal away, and that over the mountain clip you saw.

  • true.....my dad has alot of rare randy stuff

  • well your lucky you have someone that understands how someone could worship randy. my parents dont get it

  • ya i love randy with all my heart. i no how to play everything he wote even the band jam my fav!

  • me too !! i told myself i was gonna do that when i first started playin. id say the hardest part of his live solo is the beginning 3 3

5 5 3 5 its hard to do if you try and do it how clean he did it. and another problem is finding a band that wants to play randy stuff ya know.

  • where?!?!

  • well it was on the biography coming out but it got copy righted and thrown off the internet

  • do you know where i can go to get this like on my ipod?

  • after hours

  • wait...holy shit is that that is dee

  • randy is a fuckin gutiar god but wtf is up with that bow tie

  • Bow Ties were his trade mark at the time. You'll notice that his polka dot V has them in the inlays.

  • when was this concert?

  • September 22, 1979 to be exact. ;)

  • i didn't know dubrow had died...jeez. I'm out of the loop.

  • rip Randy Rhoads

    rip Kevin Debrow

  • Randy the God of guitar!

  • goodbye to romance

  • I Love Randy's playing but I thank God he got out of that band!

  • Randy was great with both, but i have to agree, he did have more recoginition with Ozzy.

  • well thats b/c his composistions were better with ozzy. see riot would surpress his ideas from tiem to time for being "too classical" or "not metal enough". ozzy told him write whatever he wants. i gaurentee you revalations (mother earth) and dee would never have been released with riot. thx to randy, classical-ish playing is metal \m/

  • 2wtf are you talking about?he may have not made it big if he stayed, but at least hesd be alive!!!!
