yeah the bad thing bout western is if you dont have a good top spin on it its going out or net i like using it but im barely being tennis 9 months haha
Yes, its not really strength, its just swinging fluently and hitting with good extension, the ball far away from you... just about anyone can hit the ball 150kms when they crack the shits and smash the ball over the fence, its just being confident off ur shot and not holding back and have a stiff arm.... its a weird thing :D when people throw a ball hard, they tend to use perfect technique, they need this fluency to be used in their swings i guess.
Remember, also, that racquet speed plays a big part. Just because he doesn't brush up alot doesn't mean there isn't ALOT of spin on the ball. Just imagine how fast his racquet is going...if a normal person did the SAME swing path as him they would get alot less spin because of his solid technique. It's hard to take into account stuff like that because non-pros (myself included) have a very different time really imagining how fast they are swinging.
He's hitting up at about 35 degrees. If you hit up at about 60 degrees or more you seem to get LESS TOPSPIN, and way less power. It's like more topspin to power ratio. But you lose so much power and gain only a little topspin. You guys are thinking table tennis shots...
wtf are u talking about?!?! thats plenty of topspin, thats heaps, most pros put alot less than that and even then its still lots. If you were to see this shot come to you in real life you would be amazed by how much topspin that is, that would dip down alot. That shot probably has more topspin that anyshot any of you will ever do in your entire life, and thats not a joke its serious.
Hahaha...what pro would purposely hit the ball with no spin, people? Even when stretched wide 99% of pros will still put topspin or backspin on it for control. it's kind of a stupid thing to debate over! if you play tennis at all seriously, you should know!
there was quite a bit of brushing motion and the ball, mind you its being filmed at 1/1000th of a second and its quite clearly spinning fairly fast; with respect, I think you're wrong and that it is definately hit with decent topspin on it.
whats with the angelic music in the background hahahahah

I saw Sampras and Ginepri play not too long ago and was amazed. Even when they weren't using much effort their racquet speed was amazing.

you wouldn't really call that a topspin shot cuz even if you hit it flat it has a little bit of topspin..
and that was a flat shot
jenniegoh 4 years ago
Doesn't matter what he wants he hit it with topspin.
txchou 4 years ago
That's just normal spin after a hit. He meant to shot flat.
gaz082 4 years ago
the ball comes of his racquet and is spinning forwards; that's enough to call it top spin.
txchou2 4 years ago
There's just a little topspin in that.
