  • i like the work, but that's a massive amount of wasted space. would have looked nice to have a nice clean amp rack on each side.but the work itself was very good.and try to keep drivers that make mid bass( the 6x9s ) as far forward as you can away from the sub.the 6x9 drivers are firing into each other and will do little then make noise and slightly take away from the mid to upper range of the sub.

  • how do you have the eon lights come on? just a switch in the boot, or do they come on when you open the boot or something?

  • @kkavanagh123 The neons were wired up to the boot light so they came on only when the boot was opened

  • I remember seeing this on google images n thort daym, now i saw the build im pretty impressed, alot of work!

  • @romanosalim Thanks!! :)

  • Rover 25 reallyy ?

  • @glennr94 Nope... Rover 214 ;P

  • all that for 2 6x9s and 1 12 you shouldve atleast put 2 12s looks nice thou

  • u should have painted them instead of carpet..

    but thats my opinion..

  • what kind of cloth did you use?

  • Nice!!! I wanna do a custom set up for my soarer but i have the idea in my head just dont know how im going to set it up or put it in the boot :S i'll find a way but very nice set up man

  • amazing!

  • only one??

  • nice ass setup! how much do u charge for one like this?

  • i got a astra van with 6 subs 3 amp 2 capaciters and lots of fibreglass and still got lots of room for my big hairy german shepard

  • the neon speakers look so insane, love it sooo much

  • the speakers that are sticking out with neons. what are they call? who makes um?

  • Infinity Reference 6" x 9" mounted on aluminium tubing - neons are set behind them to light them up!

  • @freedrider what kind of wood did u use im new at this sorry,, i usually fuck this shit up lol

  • @fr3sh2d3ath55 MDF

  • how did you get that wood to curve like that?

  • It is cut with a jigsaw from a large flat piece of MDF... you cut it curved - you dont bend it!

  • @pujolsfan02 Boil the wood in vinegar for 3-weeks.

  • very nice mate i wish 2 eventually do this in my 96 vs commodore its white so thinking of doin white apolstry and red neons :)

  • can you take out the whole boot if you ever needed to take out your tire?

  • Yeah that was the idea - to be able to access the boot/spare wheel - hence the fact the boot install is in 2 parts!

  • chill

  • Does any1 no da dis songs name?

  • @Juli3tzRom3o its daddy oh by wideboys and shaznay lewis mate

  • Does any1 no da name of dis song?

  • that looked evil man ur goof

  • its a rover i think. good job clean install

  • I bought an estate the reason for that is so i can make a F*** Off sound system in the boot nothing else, but I'm finding it hard to know where to start its a KIA RIO, what do you think?

  • ermmm.... could have put like at least 2 subs in there. kinda waste looks bare. ermmm alsooo wondering wheres ur spare tire?

  • I only had one sub- the boot build I'm making atm has 2 subs...

oh and the spare wheel is under the sub...

  • hi, cool video bro...all the best...

  • Wow... how the heck did you fab all those curvy pieces of wood that made the frame for the surrounding "outer" structure. THAT's the part I found impressive!

  • dude cool how bout a video of system in action!!!

  • Good idea! I'll put up another video of it in action soon!

  • LOOK SICK LIKE BUT WHY THAT CAR?

  • because thats my car...

  • @freedrider doo all that too that car and just put in a 12" infinity and speakers

  • kicha straszna. Jedyne co fajne to ten głośnik basowy

  • why suspend the speakers away from the sides of the build? they must sound shite?

    good vid though, looks clean!

  • very nice job man !!!!

  • but you did nice work lol... didnt wanna leave with just saying something negative

  • awsome!

  • komeesti teit ton :) rspect

  • How long did this whole process take?

  • gota love a rover pal

    you on any forums??

i own a rover 25 i want to do a boot build but suck at wood work lol

  • mg rover forum! under the same name...

  • they look great but when you sit a sub on a tiny little bit of wood and supoported the same you loose a real lot of sound. looks great but real deep base is lost.

  • Well said australianmade74. A lot of people don't realize that it sounds sorta crappy afterward.

My buddy (at a loss of brain cells), put his 2 W3s in a glassed box. It sounded like... Well it sounded like fiberglass lol.

  • Hey man nice job!

i want to make some to! but i want to know some things.

What kind of materials do you need and were can you buy it? thanks

  • gosh how long did it take to do? also how much is it to get one built and where do u get it done?

  • ok, so what sort of fabric (or whatever was it) did you use for the finishing touch?? And where did you get it from?? And what sort of adhesive did you use??

  • Its acoustic carpet - available from ebay or good motorist stores (eg Halfords). I used spray adhesive - a bit tricky because it so sticky and you need to be careful not to get any on the carpet you see. Just take your time and do it in pieces...

  • Good job looks great

  • Wow, simply wow...

  • that has to be the coolest homemade box ive ever seen. gj with the lights also.

  • Thanks! wait till you see the new one!

  • looks good is it a rover 25 ?:D

  • A rover 200! good guess!

  • A rover 200! good guess!

  • simple but badass!!!

  • clean

  • its nice but y only 1 sub

  • I am currently building one that has 2 subs - so look out for the you tube video follow up!

  • The new one I am currently building has 2 subs - that one sub sufficed at that time!

  • very nice and clean install... I've been trying to get some vids up of my work but every time I do a system it seems to slip my mind to record it... I do have some finished pics i'll try to put up though, once again nice work...

  • any chance you could post a vid on how to use fibreglass and what you need i think i know but i just want to be sure

  • i believe its 10 to 12 cc's of hardner to 1 quart of resin, mix well, and you got about 10 minutes to work before it starts to kick off on you. i just use a bottle cap per quart of resin and it works fine. just work fast and stop before it starts "jellying up". (and dont do it in the sun) peace.

  • pretty sweet (Y)

  • This is awesome, great work, i wish i could make something like that for my car but i wouldn't no were to start lol. Keep it up and make some more videos. 5 stars.

  • damn good

  • exellent video man. Thanks for posting! 5 star rating here.

  • Your good doing this man, but still far way to go for you to became a good builder. SO FAR SO GOOD.

  • THIS NAME OF THE SONG?¿

  • wideboys ft shaznay lewis - daddy o

    tune!

  • Thanks, Sorry for my English, I AM SPANISH. It has become very GOOD WORK WELL

  • so awesome man...i really wanna do something like this with my car, but watching these videos really makes me think that its out of my league, and i dont wanna skrew my car up so i dont try..

  • hot build man

  • awesome m8 ;)

  • So much for infinite baffle on those rear speakers, they would sound like absolute shit, the air has free flow from the front to the back of the speaker. Nice design but no theory!

  • I am fully aware of that, and it was originally designed to have the 6x9's mounted directly on to the fibreglass but due to their depth it prevented the bootbuild coming apart (which was the original concept - a full boot build but you could still use space in your boot).. The spacers were a comprimise.

    you live and learn!

  • At least you could fill in the gaps with some wood rings or some more fiberglass.

  • sweet boot build

  • right on but what is that white stuff you covered the fiberglass with ??plaster??

  • bondo

  • yes plaster! it worked fine... ideally you want to use car body filler though as its a little more flexible...

  • wait, you seriously used plaster?

  • well no... it was flexible Polycell filler actually...

  • Nice install. But the song sounded like a fuckin' gopher with diarrhea though...

  • minttt :) how much are they , cuz i would love one for my peugeot 206

  • thats fucking sick

  • ere fella wot r those blue neon things called that are holdin up the 6 x 9s they look sick

  • Hey, the fabric was then covered in a layer of fibreglass (although more than 1 layer is preferable). Fibreglass is very strong in curves but relatively weak in flat sections, so eliminating flat sections will give you a much stronger design. The stronger you want it the more fibreglass layers you use.

  • Cheers Dude!!

  • hello m8 wicked boot build how much for the same 1 you done for an astra mk 4 or astra g cheers can u get bk asap

  • I am currently working on a flat-pack kit with step by step instructions to build your own boot install (new design not yet seen) (obviously requiring a few tools and a little handiness) let me know if you think its a good idea!

  • Top Job!!! Wot did you use to cover the cloth?? Wot do you find is best to strengthen the structure????

  • wideboys ft shaznay lewis - daddy o

    tune!

  • het can you plzzzz tell me thee song name!!!! plz

  • man i been wonderin that n just spent 20 mins lookin lol its Wideboys ft. Shaznay Lewis - Daddy O

  • hey, thanks! i used an old bed sheet for the material to form the shape. It took me about a month off and on. The 6x9's were back lit by neons mounted under the boot trim sides. Im just building a new boot install so watch this space for more impressive ideas and install! thanks

  • that was the most helpful one (not bein sarcy) wot material did u use for the linin of the erm .... install. n how did u get the 6 x 9s on a glowin thing

  • yeh nice. im in aust so prob bit far lol. thanks for the ideas. how long did that take ya

  • mint work bro good job
