This choreography just doesn't breath with the music...Matching was off too. that being said, those girls can DANCE! Just need more guidance! The All that Jazz version is amazing, too.
sorry, that's just terrible.. that ain't choreography, that's just jumping around, having not a single thing to do with the music, apart of the hats, of course... this is a fab song with a great, witty expression in the original, All That Jazz movie version... it used to be somewhere around...
wow awesome dance and 1 thing i like about dance productions is that they know how 2 use both of their legs and anything u throw at them they sell it!!!!! great job gurls!!!!!!!!!
they should always hold their ending pose for 8 counts...its fantastic besides that though :) Nice mixing competition dancing with some genuine Fosse!
I feel like the choreographers utilized jacquelin too much. she's an amazing dancer, but the audience can see that from just when they are dancing in unison. I feel like all of the solo parts jacquelin had weren't necessary, but then again that is just my opinion. the choreography is so much like her solo too, I felt I was watching the same dance again- just with back up dancers.
Their extension, flexibility, and strength are extremely impressive. I was wowed. However, I do believe that they did the same couple of tricks over and over. If they had removed even one of he leg extensions and did just a few more things to play around with the story plot it would have been close to perfect. I've never seen the movie, so I was confused as to what the prop was until I read the comments. So I guess that's kinda saying they should have made it a little clearer. But that's just me
They really arent doing just tricks. well leap turns and jumps and splits are really everything in jazz just about. that could just stand there and do touchy feely things like lyrical. You really dont know how hard things are until you try them. Go look at the dance called home. that the dance channel has. you might not that that was hard but it really is. so you cant judge that by wat you see. and its flight chairs what else can you do with them.?
tippytapper, how old are you? it doesn't matter how many "tricks" you can do, that doesn't make you a good dancer. i could have choreographed this in my sleep. it is one huge progession, leap, turn, jump, split. show me something with real substance, something creative that uses the the prop other then the obvious. like i said, i'm not taking away from their talent, i'm just saying the choreography could be more interesting
THESE GIRLS ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!! I do have to agree a little bit with "chriscoates24" I mean.... these dancers are fabulouse and the choreography didn't do much for me. And i didn't like the song one bit. The choreography was good untill the song starting singing words. .... Other then that, GOOD JOB!!! FANTASTIC DANCERS!!
Ok so it's clear that all these dancers are talented but the actual dance and choreography are uninspired. Half the choreo was taken from that girl's solo "push the button" and there was barely any movement pertaining to being actual flight attendants. It just seems the choreographer got lazy. it could have been really cute and funny, but instead was just a bunch of tricks. The prop didn't tell any kind of story, they should have just brought out the parallel bars and jumped around on those.
About the choreography being similar to "Push the Button", many studios do that. Of course you are going to use your best tricks in several dancers! I personally enjoy the routine, I think it's cute and fun.
there is nothing to get, they are doing a bad interpretation of a great movie. this is just fluff and nothing more. really impressive fluff, but thats it
Umm i am a dancer at the studio.. and the chairs are flight chairs. for your information. and about the choreographer did not get lazy. this is a very nice dance and well fits them. They won very big at the competition.
wow, these girls are amazingly flexible and extremely talented..esp the girl thats in the middle for most of the dance, shes phenomenal!!...loved it!!
That song was from the musical All That Jazz and it's called tale off with us

really good dancing and i liked the choreography too
it just would have been that much better if they were more together with timing
its hard when not everyone is doing the same thing all the time though, so its totally understandable
other than that it was awesome

I agree. It's not really jazz. It's tricks mostly. I'd like to see a competition dance without turns... that would be something.

that is what competition has turned into-kicks, turns, and leaps. where's the choreography?
