just a question; im starting out with acoustic guitar (metal strings) and its been tough on my fingers.. and i have no intention of doing chords ( i hate them) but i love fingerstyle/tabs! should i exchange my guitar for a classic? i love the sound of your guitar rather than my acoustic.... just wondering :)

@JacksonLees Well if it is anything to you, I started with nylon, went to electric for 10 years, then spent the next 10 years on steel before returning to nylon, which I suspect I'll stay with for a long time in not forever.

Play a nylon in a shop for a while, see how you go. It will feel like playing elastic bands to start with, but hang in there. You can get more expression out of nylon when you are used to it.

Great job as usual and in my opinion the whole thing (including the solo) ran together very well... we always see the faults others miss as we know what we wanted to play and we actually did...... loved the unexpected jingle bells ending too lol

Thanks DHX5. It felt alright, playing it, but it was a coupla takes in and I was rushing it. Jingle bells is a little tribute to Naudo (he often slips little fragments of cutesy songs into his performances). He remains my inspiration for arranging and playing in this style!

Thanks! I think back to before having kids at the sheer amount of time I wasted ;) Wouldn't change it for the world though of course.

It will probably be about a month or two before I record something new, and even then I'm not working on any of my own arrangements at the moment, just a few arrangements by others.

Thanks. I noticed I was playing too fast once I'd recorded the final take and played it back. I was a bit frustrated, it wasn't until take number 6 that I got one I was happy enough with...I guess that is where the speed came from.  I need to relax more ;)
