For some reason this commercial used to scare the shit out of me when I was a kid.

I always remembered and loved the music from this commercial and have been wanting to find a way to listen to it again for several years. Still awesome.

Back when I was in elementary school I went to my cousin's high school (the one I go to now) and they had like five fruitopia machines and I couldn't wait till I got to high school. Now we have aquafina and gatorade machines. I fucking hate my life.

I remember when Fruitopia came out... back when I was in 4th grade ^_~

It was my drink of choice in the mid-to-late 1990s... and I used to drink it all the time when playing Final Fantasy VII ^_^

C'mon you got to be kiddin me. This commercial was advertising in 1994. It seems like it was just yesterday when I remember seeing this commercial. I can remember the music, and the commercial animation. I had no clue that this commericial was this old. What ever happened to Fruitopia? That drink was of the chain.

i have to comment on this. I cant believe this is on here. i loved this commercials beautiful melody the first time i heard when i was 14 and years later at, omg 28, had wondered what happened to fruitopia ever since. 14 yrs...wow. thanks for the memory.

I too remembered this song, but I had no clue that the commercial was that old. I know they haven't showed it in a while, but listening to the music and watching it brings back a lot of memories when the commercial was being aired.

The guys behind the ad campaign used Kate's music for the prototype ads (called animatics) never dreamed that they'd actually get Kate to produce music for them. But they took a chance and she wanted to do it. The weird part is that Kate's music was NOT used in the UK, where the ads featured music by the Cocteau Twins.
