I find it funny when people badmouth Deris. He was the one who brougth back Helloween into a positioon it should have never left. After Hansen left the band Helloween became something else than Power Metal. Until Deris came, that is.

@skatetothedeth I'll have to disagree, although Kiske might have a better overall voice and be able to reach much higher notes with ease - Deris voice fits Helloween perfectly.

Helloween is heavy, Kiske made it close to Pop/Soft Metal or some shit like that. Kai Hansen was the best singer they ever had, followed by Deris then Kiske.

King for a 1000 Years and The Dark Ride <- Those songs are what Helloween should be like. King for a 1000 Years is easily their best song. No doubt! :3

@Dealman15 Yes i have been listening alot of derises stuff after this comment i honestly cant decide anymore. Kiske has the range, Deris has the songwriting skills and on stage presence. Everybody can decide which one they like. Didint really like Hansen, his voice sounded strained. But yes apart from keepers 1&2 best helloween albums are work of Deris& Weikath collaboration which is UNBEATABLE!!

Deris is a good fit for the shitty post-Hansen Helloween, which sucks ass. Helloween will always be Kiske, Hansen, and Ingo had the right idea too. Deris may have range, but no heart! I can't stand to listen to him sing the old helloween songs, and helloween is one of my all time favorite bands.

@UdemderHuebsch Remember that Deris came to helloween from pink cream 69 which was a glam- metal band. That was a strenght and a weakness, as he wasn't able to sing as high as Kiske but brought a unique touch of PC69 to helloween as can be heard in a songs like: whera the sinners go, anything my momma dont like and hey lord. As for Hansen, his departure was not a big deal for me because they have had two amazing lead-guitarists after Hansen.
